There was a time when you didn't worry about rizq at all. No job, no money, no plan - and yet you were fed, sheltered, and sustained without lifting a finger. That time was before you were even born.

Makḥūl reminds us of something we've simply forgotten: the same Allah who provided for you in your mother's womb, when you couldn't ask for anything, is still providing for you now.

The only thing that's changed is that you learned how to worry.

فَسادُ القُلُوبِ مُتولِّدٌ مِن سِتَّة
يُذنِبُون بِرجاءِ التَّوبة
ويتعلَّمُون العِلم ولَا يعملُون بِه
وإِذا عمِلُوا لَا يُخلُصُونَ
ويأْكُلُون رِزْق اللهِ ولَا يشكُرونَ
ولَا يرضَون بِقِسمةِ اللهِ
ويدفِنُون موتاهُم ولَا يعتبرُون
إِيقاظُ أُولِي الهِممِ ٩٦|١

Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with him and his father, reported from the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, who said:

“Whoever argues in support of falsehood while knowing it will remain under Allah’s wrath until he stops.”

So, if a person, when disputing—whether in matters of religion or worldly affairs—has the ability to support falsehood and make it appear to the listener as truth, weakening the truth and presenting it as falsehood, this is one of the most repugnant prohibitions and one of the foulest traits.
