I verified myself again to talk about this death, it’s been stewing with me since it happened and I learned the obvious how it happened.
Men need to talk more , I’ve lost 8 friends to suicide , EIGHT , obviously I do not know Claude, but for some reason this is gonna be forgot about by next Thursday, this man carried a torch and smiled days before , it honestly just shows , whatever you have in life , money fame , a wife , kids , you cannot escape your mind ..
We need to talk about this a lot more as men, Claude died of suicide , were allowed to say it , my bestfriend in my life told me he was gonna go for a drive after we had a beer and he jumped off a bridge .. I didn’t know.. we have to start talking about males and suicide more.
RIP Claude. I hope men can speak up more.

I understand nobody wants to say the wrong thing and upset anybody but I feel the way we avoid it is doing more harm than good. It's unhealthy.
Just heard the news on #ClaudeLemieux
This is extremely sad no matter what feelings from past or present you hold. My thoughts and prayers to his family and friends and people who got to see the person off the ice wasn’t the person on. As I’ve said and will always call it as I see it
“If your on the ICE with Claude Lemieux and your turn your back. YOU Are an IDIOT.
But off the ICE I’ll turn mine”
And please. If you are struggling at all please reach out and talk to someone
Godspeed my friend
Man, I still can’t believe it.
I just found out my buddy Michael passed away last night.
He was 87 and driving with Autopilot on when it went off the road and into that pond. It doesn’t feel real.
He was one of the good ones always positive, always cracking jokes, the kind of guy who made you feel better just by being around him. We talked a few days ago like normal… now he’s gone.
My heart’s heavy as hell. To his wife and the kids I’m here for whatever you need. Seriously, anything at all, just say the word.
Rest easy my friend. You’re gonna be missed more than you know.
Leaving for work this morning, I looked over and saw what was left behind in the cul-de-sac - a hockey net, scattered sticks, and the remnants of what had to be a 15-20 kid street hockey game last night.
And it hit me… I live at Topsail. A beach community in North Carolina. Yet these kids are choosing to play hockey in the street instead of the “traditional” Southern sports you’d expect around here.
That’s what the Carolina Hurricanes @Canes have done for this state. They didn’t just build a fanbase, they grew the game. It’s honestly amazing seeing hockey take root in places as random as a beach town cul-de-sac. 🏒🌴 Happy Gameday!!!
