I don't see how this would make someone who doesn't support your candidate suddenly support them.
@AyoBankole That's one reason many southern communities shifted toward English in everyday communication. The North has generally retained Hausa more strongly while also producing many people who are fluent in both Hausa and English.2/2
@AyoBankole You're misunderstanding my point. I didn't say Western education makes people stop speaking Hausa.
My point is that where Western education becomes widespread, English also becomes more widely adopted because it's the language of instruction. 1/2
