@LWhiled@polarity Where it falls apart is those of us only using a few waves plugins. I don't need access to over 200 of their plugins, I only need a handful. With subscription I would have to pay through the nose for them forever. Which I'm not gonna do, so now they get nothing from me.
@MikeRadioDJ@LWhiled@polarity You will still be able to use them just stuck on an old version or until one day they stop working completely on some future OS version. But for sure @WavesAudioLtd have shafted us all.
@jdromeroherrera @Tom__Guest @WavesAudioLtd Simply because some customers will only want a few plugins. Shooting themselves in the foot here. Look at the replies that they are desperately trying to hide confirms it lol.
@jdromeroherrera @Tom__Guest @WavesAudioLtd Avid is a whole Daw, that makes more sense to subscribe. I subscribe to Bitwig, it makes sense. Subscription only for plugins doesn't, especially not to existing customers. Look at UAD, Slate, PA, all the majors have buy or rent choice.
@splice 1. Take lots of breaks
2. Separate sound design sessions from composing sessions
3. Dedicate some time to cleaning up your DAW, remove plug-ins and samples you don't use any more.
@fromwithinuk When I think back I always wonder how I managed to work out that kind of computer software before I could look it up on the internet lol.
