The Echo DeFi protocol on the Monad network was hacked
The attacker discovered a vulnerability in the smart contract and minted 1,000 eBTC worth $76.7 million for free. He used part of the funds as collateral on Curvance and borrowed 11.29 WBTC ($867,000).
The hacker then transferred the funds to the Ethereum network, exchanged them for ETH, and sent 384 ETH (~$821,000) via Tornado Cash.
In the wake of the hack, the ECHO token dropped by approximately 11%.
Strategy purchased an additional 24,869 BTC worth $2.01 billion at an average price of $80,985 per coin.
The company now holds 843,738 BTC, purchased for a total of approximately $63.9 billion at an average price of ~$75,700.
Bitcoin is DUMPING.
Ethereum is DUMPING.
Gold is DUMPING.
Silver is DUMPING.
S&P 500 is DUMPING.
Nasdaq is DUMPING.
Bonds are DUMPING
Even the Oil is going down.
If everything is DUMPING, where the hell is the money going?
ETH holding $3k support pretty well despite all the noise. Accumulation pattern looks familiar. Not saying moon, but I wouldn't be sleeping on it right now. Just my read. #ETH#crypto
⚠️ ICE and CME have called for tighter oversight of Hyperliquid
The largest U.S. exchanges, CME and ICE, have appealed to U.S. regulators to place Hyperliquid under stricter oversight.
According to Bloomberg, the companies are concerned about anonymous trading on the platform and believe that Hyperliquid could be used for market manipulation, insider trading, and circumventing sanctions.
The exchanges also fear that traders are beginning to use Hyperliquid prices as a reference even before traditional markets open—especially in oil and futures.
L2 Season is officially heating up. While the retail crowd is chasing old news, I’m hunting gems in unreleased Mainnets. Just spotted a project backed by Tier-1 VCs with a confirmed token launch.

Sent another 64 ETH to the Animal Welfare Fund.
I encourage others to think and act more in support of our non-human cousins too! The extreme suffering we're imposing on them in the billions is not something we talk about often, but it continues to be one of the larger blights on humanity.
And I'm getting optimistic that this century we can finally end it. Farming practices are improving, synthetic alternatives are improving.
Also, in my recent experience, good old low-tech vegetarian and vegan food has improved massively worldwide over the last ten years; I encourage anyone who has tried it long before and given up to take second look; there are far more healthier and tastier options today than the "pasta and salad" you would often get ten years ago.
