I’ve got to say I’ve been impressed with Kemi Badenoch as leader of the Conservatives, but I worry she doesn’t have enough strong Conservative figures in the party to seriously damage Labour.

Whether she can actually lead the Conservatives to a general election victory is far from clear, especially when so many of the electorate still quite openly detest the Tories for what they see as sheer incompetence and a lack of leadership in government, the very thing that put us in the mess we find ourselves in now, especially with immigration.

There’s still a long way to go, and personally I think there are still far too many liberals sat right in the centre and heart of the Conservative Party.

Until the Conservatives start being conservative again, I can’t see them winning an election any time soon.

Regarding the prisons problem, I wonder if they’ve considered bringing back corporal punishment ? Thirty strokes of the lash would be far better than messing about putting them in prison for a year.
