A major reason I don't engage with web3/crypto/NFT in any way:
The space attracts too many people wanting to make a quick buck. Opportunists. Scammers. Con artists.
When you have a crowd of these people, all behind a pseudonymized identity... why on earth would you engage?
Artillery, bombs & rockets impacting high-rise buildings are today a staple of war’s visual repertoire.

My stance has not changed on this and will not. PoW crypto is devastating for the environment.
BTC and ETH are still PoW. ETH has plans to move off - a window of always 6 months away - but BTC has none.
I won’t tell others what to do but I stay clear of all PoW crypto.
