@zacharywefel Thank you for saying this. Most caucuses and conventions are done on Saturdays, meaning Observant Jews are almost entirely excluded. Working class people who want to enjoy their weekend and not spend 8+ hours stuck in an auditorium are also excluded. It’s not an open tent at all.

@maiamindel The exacerbation of the gap between the elite’s Out of Touch opinions vs. the layman’s Reactionary opinions is intentional. Our now digital “town squares” have algorithms that prioritize engagement over productivity and pro socialization. Algorithms should be regulated.

@maiamindel Normal people don’t have a medium that facilitates productive discussion, so the flashiest opinions end up with the most reach. Elites have access to the education and environments that facilitate grounded thinking, debate, and compromise. That’s where this notion comes from.
