Tape your windows! Today, in United Nations Day of Peace, Putin announced mobilization. War is multiplying around the world that has become as fragile as ever.
When the war started, Ukrainians taped their windows to protect their home from bombs. (1/4)
Since the start of the full-scale invasion, people in Ukraine taped their windows to protect their homes from bombs. Other people around the world soon picked up on this practice and adopted it as a symbol of solidarity and protest against the war and oppression.
They say, taping your window won’t help in a hurricane storm or during deadly shellfire. It certainly won’t help in a nuclear blast. But doing this will help by showing us that we are still here, alive, and united. And that we do not accept the normality of this reality.
We need millions. In turn, we will mint these photos into NFTs that you can use to donate to trusted Ukrainian charities.
1. Tape your window → Send the photo
2. Contribute via Opensea → Pass it on to a friend
We have already received hundreds of photos from people all over the world. Known artists have donated their works in support. But hundreds or even thousands is not enough to stop the war.
Now, when people have started to get accustomed to bad news, we want to make taped windows a symbol to counteract the potential normalization of war. No one should get used to the war. And it serves us to show that we are still here, we still feel it, and we are many.
