Why do we get smoked out by Canada for several weeks every summer now? This didn’t happen growing up and its complete b.s. “minimize your time outdoors” for half of July…
Folks – remember in 2023 when parts of the Northeast saw the skies turn orange? That may happen again.
It may be time to break out the N95 masks – you don't want to breathe in all these microscopic aerosols and particulates.
An upper-echelon wildfire outbreak is happening in southern Ontario. Low pressure swirled a cold front through southeast Canada on Tuesday, and all that smoke is pouring southeast behind the front – spilling into the Lower 48.
There's no immediate end in sight to the fires, and, with prolonged northwesterly flow, we're expecting continued smoke buildup.
That will make for eerie-orange sunrises and sunsets. Some folks will see fully-white skies as a veil of thick smoke blots out the blue. Others will be shrouded by fully-orange skies.
At the surface, it will smell like a campfire for days. In many cases, fine particulate matter will be hazardous to ALL groups. If you can smell smoke, we recommend minimizing time outdoors.

I question the Supreme Court upholding birthright citizenship when there is an entire industry of ferrying pregnant women onto US soil to give birth. It’s a statute from an era of good faith that no longer exists, now actively opening the country up for abuse.
BREAKING - Hospitals in the U.S. are advertising in Latin American countries, offering “birth packages” of up to $5,000 to foreigners to help them give birth in border states like Texas, allowing their children to be born as U.S. citizens following the new SCOTUS ruling.
Every pregnant woman on Earth with the means to do so would benefit by giving birth on US soil. That was obviously not a realistic possibility that was considered when birthright citizenship was first conceived, but now it’s a legitimate avenue of abuse for foreign nations.
BREAKING: The Supreme Court has ruled that the children of illegal aliens and foreign nationals born in the U.S. count as American citizens.
Roberts and Barrett joined all the liberals.
Disgusting.

Fan voting is cool as an idea but this is just sad…
Cubs won't have an All-Star Game starter.
No Cub finished higher than 7th at their position (Kelly).
Pete Crow-Armstrong did get huge surge of votes since last totals released Mon., nearly doubling total to finish 10th for NL OF (1,063,065), ~400k behind last OF spot to advance
A decline in car break-ins across Oakland is being welcomed as a public safety win, but it is also contributing to a downturn for some local auto glass repair businesses. https://t.co/14r7UeCpS1
Neighbors have put mattresses and plexiglass up in their windows to block the noise from this data center in Virginia.
It's a high pitched whine from the natural gas turbines that power it.
The noise never stops 24/7.
This whole movement is so rushed and being forced through by politicians… it’s got all the warning signs of an unspeakably evil act against the common man.

NCAA President Charlie Baker was on ESPN radio and he was asked if the NCAA would be able to enforce their rules if a college team decided they wanted to pick up a NFL practice player or a player cut from the NFL.
Baker basically said they wouldn't be able to stop it if a team finds a local judge to rule in their favor.
Sources tell @On3 that Texas Tech has notified Big 12 officials it is prepared to return to the courtroom, including against schools that say they won't play the Red Raiders.
As one source said, Texas Tech is "100%" ready to return to court.
