Think about the lengths they'll go to avoid paying income tax-everything from offshore accounts to storing works of art in port warehouses. This oxymoron "fair tax" would allow them to hoard wealth even more easily by simply NOT buying as much.

So they’ll hoard an even larger proportion of the wealth to avoid paying tax. Also: then there’s less tax $ to spend on social welfare programs that the family of 4 depend upon.
