I am a sports and exercise medicine physician with an avid (possibly now obsessive) interest in the practical clinical applications of pain neuroscience
Have you listened to this week's @BJSM_BMJ podcast with @ACSEPpresident@DrLouiseTulloh ?

What a super effort in the right direction by my Pain Revolution comrade, Dave Moen.
What do you know, I even get a mention on pages 51-52!
Highly recommend this book as a practical template - https://t.co/BEQ8RTvQGu
I'm riding again in the Pain Revolution ride in 2020. Please consider supporting me. I'm turning 60 soon so I need some inspiration and as much support as I can get!

@Tash_Stanton@tendonpain Congratulations Tasha et al! ‘’corticomotoneuronal excitability’’. What a mouthful. Something tells me this ain’t going to fit into the ´light reading’ category.
I get this email but have no access to the articles (cos it's expensive!). I suspect my thoughts would align with most of these articles based on the headlines ...
@DrMarcRusso Totally inappropriate interpretation of this data. This study is not high quality at all and the conclusions are minimalistic. https://t.co/eyJ5snZvfM
@ProfDavidHunter If course thus is the case. Is predictably brought on by the fundamentally flawed, entrenched and simplistic perspective that pain is something you can see on a scan. Attempted discussions with many surgeons addressing this flaw remains an excruciating task.
@PeteOSullivanPT I wish I had $10 for each time I’ve heard and read people being told by their surgeons - ‘’ one day you will need a joint replacement’’...
@Retlouping I fear we are not just doing that but are commonly adding to the problem. I asked a perfectly robust 27 year old today with 4 years of severe LBP & ‘SIJ instability’ how much clinician info influenced his ‘damaged’ view vs opposite and he answered “90%” of it!!
