The times are ALMOST identical!

Yesterday my brother and I (live 8 mins apart) left to go on family vacation at almost the exact same time, Ohio to Thunder Lake, MI.
This is a 448mi trek and shows almost exactly 7 hours with no stops.
My brother was driving the RAM truck, I drove our Model Y.
My brother got here 26 minutes before me but had 8 minutes less of a drive. We both stoped twice and grabbed dinner on the go.
He beat me by 18 minutes. EIGHTEEN whole minutes. That’s it!

I spent $35 to use Supercharging, he spent $90 in gas.

Would you trade 18 minutes for $55???

So, to make my point about the ability of Tesla to meet the Supercharging challenge, Let me tell you a story from the roadtrip from which I just returned home. After the Starship launch on Thursday, I hit the road before as soon as I could...to try to get ahead of what I thought would be a huge crunch on Superchargers on the roads out of Brownsville.

I was relatively low on charge, and saw that I would have to recharge in Kingsville, TX in order to make Beaumont, TX by evening. I was a little worried, knowing that there was a concentration of Teslas on the road out of Brownsville after the launch. Watching the map, I could see the chargers were pretty full, and I resigned myself to a wait.

Imaging my suprise when I arrived to discover that Tesla had figured it out! They brought the portable charging truck with its Megapack, and not only was there no wait, but I had the Tesla guy there give me practically white glove treatment getting me into a charging port the moment I arrived, explaining that his charger was faster than the installed V2 Chargers! Great job, Tesla!

That's why I have confidence Tesla will deliver a great charging experience to drivers of non-Tesla EVs, AND Tesla owners
