Something a little bit different today... how do we translate our movement with a rotating camera?
A short < 3 min (rather shaky, sorry) tutorial, exploring 2D/3D co-ordinate spaces and vector transformations. Featuring rubber duck!

@YuriComposer Hmm my first thought is - well, if the camera is straight-on (like facing someone directly) then yes! But if you step back (z), then left (x), then up (y), you incorporate more dimensions!
i have just about HAD IT with mice these days. why do they ALL have the stupid button that changes their speed that one only ever presses accidentally???
@CanvasInfinitum I made them out of little MeshInstances and the godot icon texture one day, just wanting a little prototype friend - now I am quite attached ๐
I've just released a Basic 3D Character Controller for #Godot!
๐ค Jump into a #gamedev project with an animated character who can walk, run, & roll
๐ง Customise settings eg. speeds, variable jump, acceleration
๐ฅ Contains a standalone third person camera

I HIGHLY recommend this tool; you can import any 3D model - human, avian, quadruped, and now spider and snake!? - easily rig & animate it, and export the animations you want. Similar to Adobe's Mixamo but entirely Adobe-free... please support this creator!
๐ Mesh2Motion Release 10 Out ๐
- Spider and Snake rigs with 16 animations
- Simple bone positioning to snap to mesh instead using a 3d transform widget
- Many other small improvements
Check out the full release 10 notes with all changes: https://t.co/JMLO2uxsgD
Try it out and any feedback welcome: https://t.co/rzLTen9828
A little open source delight... a prototype using a single texture from Kenney's prototype assets, the built-in #Godot icon to texture Godotnaut, and Mesh2Motion animations. I'll make this one available on GitHub along with a tutorial so you can code it yourself soon! #gamedev
