Now tell me — in the last 10 years, how many free houses, toilets, gas connections, bank accounts and vaccination drives happened under this government? Can you deny these numbers, or will you only talk about problems and ignore all work?

Reporter: Frustration is real but frustration alone does not make someone the next PM. You are asking for young leadership. Fine. Then name three young leaders from your side who have run a state, managed a budget of lakhs of crores handled national security or won people’s trust in multiple elections. Can you name even one?

Reporter: Exactly,First create that space through hard work and elections. Don’t just sit on social media and declare that the elected PM is not fit. Democracy is not decided by who speaks louder. It is decided by who people vote for. Right now people have already given their answer three times. Your opinion is fine but it is still just an opinion.

The student issue is genuine and so the govt should have heard genuine people not frauds; people like Ajeet and Anuradha who demanded action on UGC, NEET and CBSE fiascos long before these frauds ever did. But they were ignored. And now the anarchists have smelt blood.

Over the past many years, I have taken a personal stand in support of the NEET examination, arguing that it brought uniformity in student selection across the country and gave students from underprivileged backgrounds a real shot at pursuing their dream of medical education. In the last 5 years, the NEET UG question paper has leaked thrice. Imagine the amount of pressure that it puts on students, who had to go through the examination process yet another time when the system that was supposed to bring in uniformity was failing. Yet there was no accountability, and I believe strongly that it was that moment that brought in a shift in the minds of the students to take to the streets to cry their hearts out.

Protest is a fundamental right in a Democracy. The pertinent question, however, is this: why did the BJP-led Central Government take so long to initiate a dialogue with the protestors? Why was meaningful engagement delayed until the protest had escalated to a flashpoint? What kept you waiting?

The students and the people who are leading them also have a responsibility here. It is natural that when a protest stays on for weeks, people with vested interests will take the stage to air views that are either completely irrelevant to the initial demands of the protests or would try to completely hijack it to serve their agenda. If you remain silent and let these people with vested interests further their agenda, then you are deviating from your core objectives. Please do not let it happen!

I urge the BJP-led Central Government to engage in meaningful dialogue, uphold transparency, and take swift, appropriate action to address the concerns at hand. The strength of any nation lies in the confidence its youth place in its institutions. If our students lose faith in the fairness and credibility of our education system, we are jeopardising the future of our nation.

Her name was Neha Shoree.

She was a drug inspector in Punjab.

In 2009, while posted in Ropar, she raided a chemist shop run by a man named Balwinder Singh.

During the inspection, she found dozens of types of tablets commonly misused by drug addicts. According to official records, he could not produce the required documents for them.

She cancelled his licence.

Then she moved on and continued doing her job.

By 2016, Neha Shoree had become the zonal licensing authority at a government drug laboratory in Kharar, near Mohali.

She was thirty six years old.

She had a young daughter at home. Her father was a retired Army captain who had fought in the 1971 war.

The man whose licence she had cancelled never forgot what had happened.

On the morning of March 29, 2019, Balwinder Singh walked into her office in Kharar carrying a licensed revolver.

He shot her inside her workplace.

Neha Shoree was rushed towards a hospital but died on the way.

The gunman then turned the weapon on himself and died soon afterwards.

According to the police, she had been due to testify against him in court.

Ten years had passed since the raid.

Ten years after she enforced the law, he came back for revenge.

Her father later said that his daughter had lived under pressure for years because of her work, but she never compromised and never backed down.

She was killed for doing exactly what the job had asked her to do.

For the first time in a long time, I heard a politician talk about politics differently — and it genuinely caught my attention.

I'm writing this as a common man, not as a TVK supporter.

I just finished watching the full interview of Annamalai after he officially resigned from BJP and launched his new movement.

Whether you support him or not, one thing in that interview really grabbed my attention.

He spoke about bringing a completely different political culture.

For years, one question has been in my mind.

Every IAS aspirant has to clear prelims, mains, and interviews.

Doctors spend years studying and training.

Government employees work hard to earn their positions, and they all have a retirement age.

But why does the same principle not apply to politics?

Politicians are elected by the people for a fixed term, yet we often see the same faces remaining in power for decades.

In Tamil Nadu, we have seen political families continue from one generation to another.

Grandfather, son, grandson — the same families remain in politics while new people struggle to get opportunities.

That is why Annamalai's proposal caught my attention.

He spoke about introducing term limits for political positions, including MLAs, Ministers, and even Chief Minister candidates.

Honestly, if implemented properly, this could be a welcome change.

It would create opportunities for younger leaders and bring fresh ideas into politics.

Another proposal I found interesting was the idea of training candidates before they contest elections.

Many people enter politics without fully understanding governance, administration, or the responsibilities of an elected representative.

Having a proper training system for future MLAs and leaders sounds like a positive step.

For years, I have asked these questions but never found a convincing answer.

Now, for the first time, I am hearing someone openly discuss them.

Whether this movement succeeds or not will depend on how these ideas are implemented.

But the discussion itself is important.

So, I genuinely wish Annamalai all the best for his new movement.

Tamil Nadu politics needs new ideas, healthy competition, and meaningful debates.

One more thing.

I feel both DMK and AIADMK should take these developments seriously.

The political landscape is changing rapidly.

Young voters are looking for alternatives, new leadership, and different political models.

Those who are not attracted to TVK or Vijay may find Annamalai's ideas appealing.

Because of this, I personally feel Tamil Nadu politics is entering a new phase where coalition and alliance politics could become more important than ever.

These are just my personal thoughts and questions that I have carried in my mind for a long time.

Scary how meticulously planned this operation was. 10 gym owners, including gang leaders Imran and Khaliluddin, befriended 50 Hindu women visiting gyms, recorded videos, blackmailed them, forced them to convert, then sexually exploited them.
