हमारा सिस्टम किस तरह से आम आदमी का खून चूसता है, उसे तड़पाता है, उसका उत्पीड़न करता है, इसे समझना है तो अमायरा का केस फॉलो कर लीजिए।

जिन्हें नहीं पता, अमायरा नौ साल की बच्ची थी। हंसती खेलती बच्ची। स्कूल में बेस्ट ऑलराउंडर। डांस में चैंपियन। म्यूजिक में चैंपियन। पढ़ने में चैंपियन।

लेकिन अमायरा को उसकी क्लास के बच्चे तंग करते थे। बुली करते थे। बच्चों से क्या उम्मीद करें? बच्चे तो बच्चे होते है। ज़िम्मेदारी टीचर्स की है। कि वो बच्चों को समझाये। उन्हें सही ग़लत में फ़र्क़ महसूस कराए।

लेकिन नीरजा मोदी स्कूल के टीचर्स ने ऐसा नहीं किया। एक नवंबर 2025 को बच्चे लगातार अमायरा को तंग कर रहे थे। बच्ची उठ कर पाँच बार टीचर्स से शिकायत करने गई। क्लास टीचर मोबाइल फोन में व्यस्त थी और दूसरी टीचर, जिसे उस समय क्लास लेनी थी, वो क्लास नहीं ले रही थी। अमायरा साफ़ तौर पर बहुत परेशान दिख रही थी। बातचीत के बीच ही वो क्लास से निकल गई। किसी टीचर ने उसे रोका नहीं। किसी ने यह तक नहीं पूछा कि कहाँ जा रही हो? वो स्कूल में भागती हुई चौथी मंजिल की तरफ़ गई, लेकिन रास्ते में भी किसी ने उसे नहीं रोका।

बच्ची से अपमान सहा नहीं गया। वो स्कूल की चौथी मंजिल पर गई और छलाँग लगा दी।

लेकिन असली कहानी यहाँ से शुरू होती है।

आपको पता है कि घटना के बाद स्कूल ने क्या किया? सबसे पहले झाड़ू पोंछा लगाकर सारे खून के धब्बे मिटाए। सीसीटीवी फुटेज ग़ायब करने की कोशिश की। लगातार पुलिस को गुमराह किया।

लेकिन सीबीएसई ने इस मुद्दे पर स्टैंड लिया। उन्होंने सुरक्षा जाँच में कई ख़ामिया पायी, और स्कूल की 9 से 12 तक की मान्यता रद्द कर दी। कुछ समय बाद सीबीएसई ने 9 और 10 की मान्यता फिर से देदी।

लगा कि अब इंसाफ़ होगा। लेकिन इस देश में आम आदमी के साथ इंसाफ़ होता कहाँ है?

नीरजा मोदी स्कूल ने अपने रुतबे का फ़ायदा उठाकर, बड़े से बड़े वकील लगाकर उच्च न्यायालय में सीबीएसई के निर्णय पर रोक ले ली।

राजस्थान सरकार इस दौरान सोती रही। 18 मार्च 2026 को जिस दिन सीबीएसई के आदेश पर उच्च न्यायालय से रोक मिली, उसी दिन राजस्थान शिक्षा विभाग ने सीबीएसई के आदेश को कॉपी पेस्ट करके अपना आदेश निकाल दिया। और अपने उसी आदेश में बच्चों की सुरक्षा को लेकर गंभीर कमियां भी दर्ज कीं। लेकिन फिर 2 अप्रैल की न्यायालय की सुनवाई में राजस्थान सरकार ने खुद ही न्यायालय को बताया कि उसने अपने 18 मार्च वाले आदेश को रोक दिया है।

अमायरा को गए हुए दस महीने हो गए। लेकिन कुछ नहीं बदला। प्रिंसिपल को कुछ नहीं हुआ। स्कूल आराम से चल रहा है। पुलिस ने आरोप पत्र दाखिल किया, तो उसमें सही धाराएं ही नहीं लगायी। मजिस्ट्रेट न्यायालय ने भी परिवार की शिकायत पर सुनवाई नहीं की और सभी आरोपियों को जमानत दे दी। अब सत्र न्यायालय को परिवार की उस शिकायत पर निर्णय लेना है जिसमें आरोपियों पर सही धाराएं लगाने की मांग की गई है। लेकिन चार बार तारीखें मिल चुकी हैं और अभी तक आदेश नहीं किया गया।

सिस्टम में कुछ नहीं बदला - ना मानसिक स्वास्थ्य पर ध्यान गया, ना सुरक्षा जाँच हुई, ना सुरक्षा मानकों को दुरुस्त किया गया। ना अमायरा को इंसाफ़ मिला।

बस एक परिवार को तड़पने के लिए छोड़ दिया गया है।

लेकिन यह सिस्टम एक बात भूल गया है।

आज का भारत जंतर मंतर के बाद का भारत है। अब जनता अपने हक के लिए तुमसे भीख नहीं माँगेगी। अब जनता इंसाफ़ के लिए तुम्हारे आगे गिड़गिड़ाएगी नहीं। अब जनता दर दर की ठोकरे नहीं खायेगी।

अब जनता उठ खड़ी होगी। अब जनता तुम्हारी हेंकड़ी और तुम्हारी अकड़ को उखाड़ फेंकेगी।

मैंने और @abhijeet_dipke ने अमायरा के माता पिता विजय-शिवानी से वादा किया था कि अमायरा को इंसाफ़ दिलाने तक चुप नहीं बैठेंगे। जंतर मंतर पर अमायरा की तस्वीर पूरे समय मौजूद थी।

तो हम अमायरा के मुद्दे पर सिस्टम से सिर्फ एक ही बात कहना चाहेंगे। अगर आपको लग रहा है कि अमायरा का परिवार अकेला है और उन्हें आप ऐसे तड़पा सकते है, तो यह आपके जीवन की सबसे बड़ी भूल होगी।

अमायरा हम सबकी बच्ची है। न्याय करिए। पूरा देश देख रहा है।

This is Dawa Nurbu Sherpa, a 26-year-old mountain guide from Sankhuwasabha, Nepal. He is also a husband, a father of two young children and the main breadwinner of his family. Earlier this spring, Dawa was guiding a Swiss climber on Annapurna I (8,091 m) when his life changed forever.

According to Dawa, while they were approaching the summit on April 19, 2026, his client ran out of bottled oxygen. Dawa gave him his own supply, believing they could descend together to another cylinder he had cached above Camp IV. They reached the summit, but without oxygen Dawa became increasingly slow and exhausted. His client descended faster with the oxygen Dawa had given him, while Dawa gradually fell behind and was eventually left alone high on Annapurna.

Weak, exhausted and without supplementary oxygen, Dawa says he lost the route above Camp IV and found himself in an area without fixed ropes. Unable to continue safely, he was forced to spend the night exposed high on the mountain. By then, his hands were beginning to go numb. The following day, he somehow found the route again and began making his way slowly down, already suffering severe frostbite.

A rescue operation was launched by 8K Expeditions, and experienced mountain guide Ashok Lama climbed back high on Annapurna to help locate and rescue him. Dawa was eventually brought down and evacuated from Camp III before being admitted to hospital. He had survived one of the world's most dangerous mountains, but the price of that survival would follow him home.

Doctors later had to amputate seven of his fingers.

For Dawa, those hands were his livelihood. They held ropes, carried equipment and helped guide climbers safely through the Himalayas. They were the hands through which a 26-year-old father earned enough to feed his family and raise his two small children. Now, after surviving Annapurna, he faces perhaps the most difficult chapter of his life: trying to find a new way to support them.

Dawa says the future sometimes feels dark. He does not know whether he will ever be able to return to the profession that supported his family, while his medical needs, rehabilitation and everyday responsibilities continue. His children are still young, and the family that depended on his work before Annapurna still depends on him today.

A mountain guide gave up his own oxygen when the person he was responsible for needed it. He survived, but he came home having lost seven fingers. Now he needs our help.

Everest Today is sharing Dawa's story in the hope that the mountaineering community and people around the world can stand beside him as he rebuilds his life. Donations will help support his treatment and rehabilitation, assistive and prosthetic needs, his children's education, everyday family expenses and, most importantly, help him find a sustainable way to earn a living again.

To be this poor and from the marginalised Mushar community in Nepal,often targeted as Biharis. And desperate to find the dead body of his son Vinod Sada- he did not have hopes that the boy was alive. A story that broke my heart.
