We are honored to announce today our fundraising partnership with the UA Museum of the North for the preservation and exhibition of Bus 142. The faster we can meet the financial needs of this project, the sooner the bus can have visitors again.
Chris loved to read. He would tell me how books could take him to another place & time, but also teach him to live a better life in the present. These books were found in Bus 142 after Chris’s passing, along with his glasses. What books & authors have inspired you? ~ Carine
The Museum of the North is in negotiations to take on the restoration & relocation of Bus 142. We will let you know if terms come together & will be ready to assist the museum. Stay tuned for updates on how you can be a part of it all. https://t.co/5nSWsXLr5k
I would like to introduce Erik Halfacre, one of the team members here at Friends of Bus 142. Erik was a guide in Alaska and now lives in Washington where he leads a trail crew for the WA Dept of Natural Resources. Erik guided my group to the bus in 2014.

We are in communication with Alaska officials. Once they notify us of their decisions moving forward, we will share the info. Thank you for your kind & inspirational messages about my brother over the years. Through you, his story continues.
