@ScottAdamsSays Yes, but how to price that insurance? Per owner, gun, or mag? What liability are you insuring (insurance for intentional crime is illegal)? Would it pay if gun stolen & used in crime (car insurance doesn't)? Good ideas important, but gun control succeeds or fails on details.

@groggygirl85 @altNOAA @jer_ CPAC didn’t have the option to allow guns for the same reason the GOP convention didn’t have the option, and the same reason some (not all) NRA speaking events don’t have the option: a Secret Service protectee was there. (Trump spoke at CPAC on Friday.)

@altNOAA @jer_ I’ve been to three NRA conventions. Weapons were allowed everywhere not prohibited by law or the Secret Service. The 2014 NRA convention had a speaking event where none of the pols speaking were protected by the Secret Service, so carry was allowed everywhere, all the time.

@jbouie It should take more than just the votes/reps of a few dense metro areas to make a big change, even they constitute a numerical majority. Senate apportionment by state sets up a requirement for a something like a national consensus; I'm glad we have it.
