@Gus82369520@metaplexmovies@jwordfish @RichFerrando If you were cropping that much then yeah it would be misleading to say it was shot on 65mm. But nobody would do that because it would be a huge waste of money.
Side note: none of this matters anyway because even super 35 film size is plenty but nobody wants to hear that.
Finding out The Brutalist was shot on 35mm Vistavision and not 65mm and slowly realizing I’ll be irrationally annoyed hearing it called “shot on 70mm” for the next 6 months
@jdbfilm @mccrabb_will @Lore_of_yore You don’t need more light. You would need more light if you were stopping your lens way down and not using a diopter.
Oh and Romulus has one of the meanest/most satisfying deaths for an extremely hateable character. I don't have all the Alien movies fresh in my mind but I don't remember any characters from them that were as despicable as this bloke
Went on an alien binge and watched Prometheus, Covenant and Romulus. I enjoyed them all! The way people were talking about Romulus I thought it would be a total retread but there was plenty of new and novel ideas and set pieces to make it worth while. Ian holm thing sucked though
The director of films including Blue Ruin and Green Room, Jeremy Saulnier is back with the thriller Rebel Ridge on Netflix September 6.
