Opinionated frameworks think they're smarter than you.
They get in the way when you outsmart 'em.
They foster a dangerous hush-hush philosophy in which you aren't supposed to get how things work.
Users get things done w/o knowing better!
It isn't a software eng. practice I favor.
@marciocapatonda con lo stesso spirito dell'uomo che non reggeva l'alcol, si potrebbe fare qualcosa con "una birra da mezzo"? (mezzo come autoveicolo). Valuta se ti può interessare :-)
Calling a software developer a "coder" is like calling a musicist a "pentagram writer".
Was Mozart a simple pentagram writer? ...employing "best practices" (i.e. average practices)?
What matters is the software "melody" in your head, not how you represent sounds as notes.
@rmathew4tw VS Code is for the masses. There needs to be something for the masses.
For the rest of us, who want unparalelled customization through the power of #lisp, there is #Emacs.
It's 2020 and we're still stuck drawing web UIs mostly with vanilla rectangles, reimplementing combo boxes and date pickers. A lot of fun... and wasted time. The web should get a real overhaul if we want to continue using it to deliver apps AND respecting programmers' time.
Unfortunately I had to deal with IntelliJ IDEA today... and I found out its emacs keybindings are totally screwed up. (Btw its native keybindings are even worse.) I was tempted to fix them but then I thought who cares? ...thank God I can always use the one true #emacs.
