BREAKING:

Marketa Vondrousova has been suspended for four years by an independent tribunal for ‘refusing an anti-doping test’ outside of her scheduled testing window in December 2025.

Marketa has stated that she has been struggling with her mental health and she reached a breaking point after dealing with months of physical and mental stress and reacted out of fear after years of dealing with hateful messages online, sleep issues, and constant pressure.

“Experts confirmed I suffered an Acute Stress Reaction
(F43.0) and Generalized Anxiety Disorder (F41.1). In that moment, fear clouded my judgment and I just couldn't process the situation rationally. After what happened to Petra, we don't take strangers at our door lightly.”

The suspension will end on June 21, 2030.
