@JARTHURAFA@CFBHome@NCAAFNation247 If it wasn't for the AF defense being so bad last and his late season injury he might be considered the best QB in the MW. That poor defensive showing last year really shaded people's opinion of everyone at AF
@TheHerdBros Im just convinced that the P4 will collude to ensure any G6 participation is limited to a token 1 team regardless of on the field performance. CFP expansion is not about access or the good of the sport. It's about funneling money to the P2 and if need be the P4.
@TheWildUte@FortitudeFitSC If UVA needs to be replaced, I think JMU is sneakily near the top of that list. It is already all in on sports, great fan base, and good academics. Actually being in the ACC traditional footprint probably doesn't hurt either. I think they have more upside than most G6 contenders.
@TheHerdBros Even if the initial revenue from a G6 playoff is better than bowls, it would rapidly diminish the relevance of G6 programs with effectively no difference between G6 and FCS. If people cared about FCS those schools would have never moved up to FBS.
@blurtversus Who knows. I don't trust any pre-season poll that doesn't have 1-3 G6 schools in it. The final poll always has a few G6 schools which just shows that the pre-season pollsters generally have no idea what they are talking about.
@Shinno_Dad@Aviation_Intel Not sure how you came up with 26. When i was flying E-3, we had 31 E-3s. 25 at Tinker, 4 in PACAF, 1 test aircraft and one that crashed. The 30 remaining was thought to be too few back then. The real need is probably closer to 40 than the mid 20s
@flatland_sports That was from an era were the people involved still cared about the institutions involved. Today the only people that actually care are fans on a nostalgia trip. Today there is probably not a single player or coach wouldn't play for Bama for a few extra NIL bucks.
@realdanihgh@Pac12Central The fun bit is that at least a third of the P4 don't belong either. There are probably less than 30 schools that can both financially and perform at a CFP relevant level.
@ThroneSpud Szarka might not be the best "conventional" QB, but he is probably the most consequently to the offensive success of any team in the conference.
@FootballScoop This would de facto turn the G6 into FCS football overnight. Maybe we end up there in the end but until there is officially a new sub division this concept should be punted into the sun.
@mik0h1me@luke_leisher_ There is a newer tech tree mod that supports most of the big parts mods and has a probes before manned flights feel to it. Can't remember the name but if you look on Spacedock and look for recently updated, you should find it.
@JoshPateCFB In regards to CFB ratings being up. Are they up due to the health of the sport or the interest in sports betting. I would bet that gambling is doing ratings not dan interest in the sport being played.
@CWLemoine Sabbatical are a bad idea. Once you're out for any length of time you are not going to want to come back and if you do come back you are going to have folks that are even more bitter and unwilling to put up with the daily annoyances of active duty life.
@1BroncoBeliever To this day I don't think the rebuild of the PAC was ever thought through. There is no path in the current CFB enviro for a G6 conference to be considered a Power conference. Handpick the top 12 G6 teams and it won't matter. Self awareness is the biggest obstacle for PAC/MW.
