This was a legendary action in San Francisco, ~ 10 years ago -- angry drivers complained to city's anti-bike bureaucrats about biklings not coming to a full stop; they sent cops to write us tickets on the Wiggle.
So, a Brain Genius organized us all -- to stop at every stop sign.
PSA: Servers tip out bar / kitchen / support staff based on net sales, not based on what you tip. If you don’t tip minimum 8%, there’s a decent chance your server is paying out of pocket for the absolute privilege serve you. Don’t be that person. It super sucks.
I just got a $0 tip on $250 check. I still have to tip out 6%. I’m paying to serve that table in the Florida heat. Please fix our broken tipping system. I’m begging you.
Going to get a little controversial here, but if your child comes out at school and not to you, your questions shouldn’t be with your child, or with their teacher. You should really be questioning yourself.
My son is 15
I never bought him a pride onesie when he was a baby.
I never read him a book that had two moms as part of the storyline.
When he was little stores and businesses didn’t have LGBTQ+ displays and we didn’t celebrate pride month.
He was raised Catholic, and went to church.
Guess what? He is gay.
The rainbow won’t make your kids gay. They are born that way. A display in a store won’t make your kid trans, they are born that way.
If you don’t love and accept them for who they are, YOU are a shitty parent.
They haven’t failed, you have.
Wow, you really did it Alberta. You elected a residential school denialist, found to breech the Conflict of Interest Act, who repeatedly said she will make you pay for health care Premier. A party with blatant transphobia, racism, literal violence, and corruption. Wow. Good luck.
Instead of buying pride-branded stuff from corporations who don’t need your money, I encourage you to donate directly to your favourite local queer*

That’s a YIKES from me, Miami. Alternatively, you could, y’know, provide humane housing to folks who need it. It’s amazing what that little bit of stability and dignity can do for a person’s outlook #housingfirst
Miami commissioners voted to build a homeless camp on Virginia Key. No US city has ever concentrated people experiencing homelessness on an island - removing them from any chance at rehabilitation, public transportation and jobs to get them back on their feet. 1/
Hot take, but sometimes, I actually like how slow biking, walking, & even transit can be. So much of our lives are about brutal, relentless efficiency & productivity, often not even for our own benefit. Going slow can be a form of resistance, and it shouldn't be a big privilege.
We may not realize it in the United States since cars are so ubiquitous, but cars are a luxury good. All cars. The energy use, the material footprint, the carbon footprint, the environmental and societal externalities…The impact all adds up. We drive at a massive expense.
