Mawlid al-Nabi Mubarak to Muslims in New York City and around the world.
Today, we honor the life and enduring legacy of Prophet Muhammad (May Peace Be Upon Him), whose teachings of compassion, generosity, justice, faith, and service have inspired communities for more than 1,400 years.
Here in New York City, his example reminds us that caring for one another, embracing our diversity, and serving our communities, makes us stronger as we work to build a better New York City for everyone.
Wishing joy, peace, and blessings upon all who celebrate.
This platform wins in a landslide:
Medicare for All.
Not 1 penny for the genocidal government in Israel.
No more AI data centers.
Wealth tax on billionaires.
Expand Social Security, scrap the cap.
$20 minimum wage.
End Citizens United, ban Super PACs.
“If Oliver Larkin had his way, there would be: Medicare for All, no more Electoral College, automatic same-day voter registration, and an immediate shift away from fossil fuels.”
-Scott Hannity
I’m Oliver Larkin and I approve this message.
Mainers are getting crushed.
Gas costs too much. Groceries cost too much. Housing and health care cost too much.
Meanwhile, Washington keeps finding more money for billionaires.
Come November, we’re going to change that.
I appreciate AIPAC proving it doesn’t belong in the Dem Party and especially our primaries.
From endorsing Jan 6th members to ensuring Congress remains in the hands of a 34-count felon, AIPAC is an org committed to undermining democracy at home and abroad.
See you in November.
you can get away w saying and doing p much anything it you’re a rw trump supporter who defends israel. the entire national media has been calling me a dangerous radical for stumping for anti war candidates who will fight for m4a.
even the commentary sphere online never says anything abt this guys insane rhetoric. i’ve been around the country. let me tell you, people aren’t like this, they’re trying to make ends meet- but they’re ultimately kind curious & open minded. what we see online is a carefully curated algorithm making us more vicious, it’s not how the real world is.
Hasan asks a woman in Wisconsin who's she voting for in the Governor primary and when she mentions that she's undecided, Hasan explains that @FrancescaHongWI is running on a platform of Universal childcare and Medicare for All. The woman reveals that she is a childcare owner and that she likes Francesca Hong already. 😭🤍 She was even more sold when Hasan told her that Francesca Hong wants to legalize marijuana. 🍃
The most damaging shift in the modern economy was turning housing from shelter into the primary savings vehicle of the middle class. Once millions of households depend on prices rising, affordability and wealth preservation become opposing goals.
If young workers conclude that homeownership is permanently out of reach, the consequences will extend far beyond housing.
Zohran Mamdani: “Democrats have been branded as socialists for longer than I can remember. I remember President Obama being called a socialist almost every single day by Republicans and it didn’t stop him from delivering not just on his first term but his second term. People are hungry for a vision of the Democratic Party that has more to do with the New Deal than the raw deal that so many Americans have been forced to accept”
I spent the last few months talking to people across the political spectrum, and to people who want nothing to do with politics at all. Here is what I learned.
We are not a divided country. We are a country being divided, on purpose, by an American oligarchy that profits from the fight. They’ve captured our government, denied our healthcare, looted our treasury, and saddled us with crippling debt.
I believe in a New New Deal. Healthcare as a human right. The right of every family to a decent home, and an end to endless wars.
And a dividend paid to every American from the AI economy, because these machines were built on the whole of human inheritance. That inheritance belongs to all of us, and not just to the handful of men playing God with our very existence.
And none of it happens if we just move on. Donald Trump, his family, and his administration are robbing us blind, not just of our money, but of our faith in one another, and they have to answer for it. Truth and reconciliation, not revenge. Then we break the system that let them do it.
The question is not whether we will lose our democracy. The question is whether we will fight to take back what has already been stolen.
I learned in recovery that you can’t heal what you won’t name. Neither can a country.
Thomas Massie on Trump’s speech to the nation tonight about election fraud:
“We control the House, Senate, White House, and Supreme Court, so I ask my Republican colleagues, why are you complaining about election fraud? We won all the elections!”
This is all a distraction from the fact that our elections actually are rigged, but not in the way Trump or even Democrats ever claim.
Our elections are rigged by corporations and billionaires who buy off and bribe both parties to tilt the economy in their favor, creating an unbalanced society that’s rigged for the rich.
Elections under capitalism are a sham, as they don’t produce democracy for the people. They only produce democracy for the rich.
Elections under capitalism are simply a mechanism of control for the ruling class to keep the masses divided and trapped in the very system that’s rigged against us.
It’s time to make your own ice cream bars at home! Let me show you how to make a Ben & Jerry’s bar at home! They’re delicious and will satisfy your cravings for an ice cream bar, all while you boycott Magnum. #freebenandjerrys
Doesn’t work like that.
First off, there was no fraud, but you seized the ballots and the paper back ups to make sure no one could question it.
Second, the constitution has no way to nullify a swearing in. Only peer expulsion.
Third, this sudden “announcement” is when Trump is down by two Senators and desperate to pass a bill.
Lastly, Trump had 64 court cases to try and litigate the election, including in Georgia.
No case turned up any evidence, including after an audit of these ballots.
Trump’s own lawyers and advocates then admitted to making up the conspiracy about this county, and were charged for it.
Part of the court evidence included their own email records of coming up with the plot.
@RussellNy5@TheUrbanTrucker @JaywGold @KyleKulinski Lmao you so sensi what’s going on man
Improving public transportation is good for everyone and actually makes our wonderful city even more idyllic ❤️
Stay mad that not everyone wants to waste money on passenger vehicles that only depreciate the walkability of the city
@RussellNy5@TheUrbanTrucker @JaywGold @KyleKulinski Damn why are you so sensitive bro no one’s talking about you specifically lmao
And NYC doesn’t need passenger vehicles clogging up the city- let the buses and workers (trucks) in and keep the losers who are allergic to public transportation in their suburbs -from another NYer
Justin J. Pearson: “If the Republican Party is gonna be the party licking the boot of the billionaires who are taking our land, polluting our water, and taking our jobs, then let us be the party of the working class in rural, suburban, and urban America alike. If the Republican Party is gonna be the party of AI taking away our jobs, the party of corporate handouts and blank checks for foreign wars, let us be the party to deliver an increase to the minimum wage. Let us be the party to deliver universal healthcare”
