@rtralphy The higher takeout makes it harder for punters to ‘win’ in the long term.

I believe that the industry line is that is best for the ‘game’ as it significantly increases betting pools therefore an increase in finding that goes back int racing.

I was sitting on the opposite side of the ground, didn’t take my eyes off Bud & when he turned to face the crowd I knew it was in.
The noise around the corridors on the way out of the ground was enormous!

The VRC’s promotion of the Mr B v Jenni rivalry leading into the Memsie was fantastic.
What Hamish is able to provide is another avenue to raise the profile of our G1 stars and an opportunity missed 🤷‍♂️

@robcarlile85 💯 agree with a concept like this. A lot of trainers & owners are currently funding/caring for a large % of ex-racehorses with no access to any of the $$ they’ve contributed to the welfare fund along their racing journeys. Transparency and a more effective strategy required.

@Racing_Previews Thought the ride was all but perfect. Only peeled 3 wide rounding the bend. Horse wanted to lay in once given its head. Allan pulls the whip through to the left to correct it. Not sure you could ask for much more 🤷‍♂️

@smallbettor @RacingVictoria Albury due to race on Tuesday but I’d suggest they’re Winx odds to meet the same fate or be transferred to Corowa 🤞. Really tricky to place horses in the NE at the moment.
