À mesure que j’avance dans la vie, je vois de plus en plus clairement qu’il n’y a que deux types de personnes.

Celles qui ont un vrai growth mindset.
Elles acceptent qu’à un instant T, d’autres sont plus avancés qu’elles.
Quand elles reçoivent un feedback de quelqu’un qui est plus loin, elles le prennent. Elles mettent leur ego de côté. Elles savent que tout ce qu’elles pensent peut être remis en question.
Ces gens-là progressent. Dans le business, dans les relations, partout.

Et les autres.
Ceux qui fonctionnent sous le vernis « chacun a droit à sa vie, on a le droit de ne pas être d’accord ».
Sous ce vernis, il y a une incapacité profonde à se remettre en question.
Ils rejettent le succès de l’autre comme une injustice. Ils rejettent la compétence de l’autre comme une injustice.
Ils évoluent quasiment plus.
Et le nombre de gens dans la trentaine, la quarantaine, la cinquantaine (et même après) qui sont incapables de mettre leur ego de côté ne serait-ce que dix secondes est absolument pléthorique.

Ce n’est pas un hasard.
C’est le produit direct de notre système éducatif.

On a fabriqué des générations entières à la pensée convergente.

La pensée « il y a une seule bonne réponse, et elle est dans le manuel ».

Une pensée anti-naturelle au possible.

On a appris aux enfants à défendre leur réponse plutôt qu’à la mettre à jour.

À rester dans la boîte plutôt qu’à en sortir.

Résultat : des adultes aliénés.

Des gens qui préfèrent protéger leur identité plutôt que de grandir.

Et qui, par conséquent, deviennent extrêmement dangereux pour eux-mêmes… et pour la société.

Parce qu’un humain qui ne peut plus mettre à jour ses mental models finit toujours par rejeter la réalité elle-même.

La bonne nouvelle, c’est que ce logiciel n’est pas définitif.

On peut le désinstaller.
À tout âge.

Le 21e siècle appartient à ceux qui ont encore la capacité de se faire mal à l’ego pour devenir meilleurs.

I’m a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and my job is to sit in the middle of the family system, without bias, and watch the unconscious as well as conscious interactions.

Reading the comments to this article reminds me of a functional family. There’s open discussion, from many different angles, but nearly everyone is showing up and stating their position intelligently and honestly.

When Elon was on Joe Rogan, show, I was happy to be reminded that neither one of them “believed in anything.“ Wisdom and knowledge, to me, are beyond beliefs and can only be achieved by exposing our self to wildly available information.

Too many people live in their little bubbles, fearful of getting information that would challenge their biases.

They are fearful of change, fearful, their friends will judge them.

This article has a bias, as does every article, left or right. But what X offers is not only this article but dozens of perspectives that together inform me and I gain and wisdom.

I used to think that the New York Times was the shit but since about 2010 when I started following Elon closely, I noticed that they weren’t telling the truth, they weren’t being honest, they were actually, at times lying. And I still read the New York Times as well as many other publications although today, I find the Financial Times to have the most intelligent journalist.

Peter Thiel vient de rappeler une chose que presque personne n'a relevée : pendant vingt ans, Elon Musk a été un homme de gauche. Pas un idéologue, mais clairement à gauche du centre. Tesla, énergie propre, voitures électriques — l'archétype parfait du progressiste californien.

Alors qu'est-ce qui a fait basculer l'homme le plus puissant de la tech ?

Pas un calcul politique. Une blessure.

Le vrai point de bascule d'Elon a été intime : ce qu'il a lui-même décrit comme la perte de son fils, happé par ce qu'il appelle le « woke mind virus ». Un homme qui voit son propre enfant lui devenir étranger au nom d'une idéologie. C'est là, dans la douleur, que tout a commencé.

Et là où un autre se serait effondré, ou aurait ravalé ça en silence, Elon a fait ce qu'il fait toujours : il a fait le travail.

Parce que c'est peut-être l'esprit le plus redoutable de la planète pour une seule chose précise : décomposer un problème jusqu'à ses principes premiers. La méthode qui l'a amené à réinventer la fusée quand tous les experts disaient que c'était impossible. Il a pris sa douleur exactement comme un ingénieur prend une anomalie dans un système. Il a remonté le fil, calmement, sans se mentir.

Et au bout du fil, il n'a pas trouvé un drame privé. Il a trouvé un système. Une idéologie. Une corruption de masse des universités, des médias, des institutions — la même machine à déconstruire dont je parle depuis des semaines. Il a vu la big picture.

Et en la voyant, il a rejoint celui qui, lui, avait tout compris trente ans plus tôt : son ami de toujours, Peter Thiel. Le contrarien absolu. Celui qui, dès les années 90, avait déjà lu la partie, pendant que le reste de la Silicon Valley applaudissait sa propre chute.

Deux hommes qui se connaissent depuis les origines de PayPal. Deux des esprits les plus lucides de leur génération. L'un tenait la thèse depuis le début, par la pensée pure. L'autre l'a rejointe par le chemin le plus dur qui soit, celui de la chair.

Et aujourd'hui, ils sont alignés.

Je pèse mes mots : c'est peut-être cet alignement-là — ces deux cerveaux enfin tournés dans la même direction, avec les moyens de leurs convictions — qui va sauver la civilisation occidentale.

Pas des commentateurs. Des bâtisseurs.

Sure, we could take another 11 billion from Elon Musk like we did a couple of years ago.

Or we could let him keep it, let him hire 15,000 people, and let him make electric school buses.

Do we want everybody to be mediocre like East Germany was?

Or would it be better to have a trillion trillionaires?

Better to have small Government, freedom to become incredibly wealthy, and have everybody’s boats float higher.

Or…

Places like Los Angeles, big government and bureaucracy, and homeless drug addicts, Trash, and sadness all around.

Like you, I was a longtime Democrat. I bought my first of six Teslas in 2013, and my IRA is still 95% Tesla. Yet nearly all of my hundreds of liberal friends now despise you—some view you as evil. A few have even turned on me publicly, calling me an “asshole” simply for refusing to denounce you.

I believe you are a good man at heart who would never consciously harm anyone. However, your brand is being trashed by persistent accusations that you’re ignoring or dismissing key information—whether true or false.

You are currently the most influential figure on the planet. To clear the air, I urge you to convene a high-profile, well-lit public discussion with respected voices across the spectrum: Bill Maher, Maggie Haberman, Walter Isaacson, Fareed Zakaria, Jonathan Swan, and others known for honesty and rigor.

Get to the bottom of the central charge: Did your actions and advocacy contribute to the deaths of hundreds of millions—or did they not?

Either way, the world needs clarity.

Your current explanations on X, while heard by many, are not reaching or convincing the broader public.

A single, substantive, no-holds-barred forum under bright lights would do more to restore trust than any number of posts.

Please, “man up” and use the biggest microphone available to settle this once and for all.
