@alwaystheself Lived in Avignon in 1989 and um… huge racism problem, huge antisemitism problem, & frankly a xenophobic vibe all around, French nationalist vibe at that time in that region. I did not feel safe there AT ALL & I’m a white girl. I can’t imagine how unsafe my non-white pals felt.
