gone from never doing fanart to doing three, it’s v sweet, engrossing, gay af, that feels like a cross between the detectorists and muppets treasure island, taking my mind off hospital bs very nicely #asacrew#ofmd#ofmdfanart#ofmdart#ourflagmeansdeath
@maisy_mcadam@adamfare1996 Solidarity hugs mate, I have visible muscle wastage, a carer with me at all times, and a power chair, I still get "if you tried hard enough you could walk" nearly every time I leave them house. The mind boggles 💜
@WTFVexxi@adamfare1996 Yessss, as someone who was already physically and mentally disabled before I knew I was autistic, I can't stand the "autism isn't a disability bc I'm not BROKEN, there's nothing WRONG with me" language really ableist.
@evelina_sachi1@adamfare1996 I mean, that also sounds like a mental health issue/disability so a far as I'm concerned, have at, (tw pee) great you let people with wheelchairs go first tho, we're statistically more likely to be incontinent and it's so hard to clean up in a wheelchair, or can bust the motor💜
@anniwithoutane@adamfare1996 Omg, I was actually in that position when I had the carer with the awesome kids, maybe they picked up on that too 🤣💜 thanks lovely, you too if you need it 💜
@anniwithoutane@adamfare1996 Right? My niece and my carers kids were constantly on three look out for things on the floor for my wheelchair, telling me when there's steps etc, once they knew I was sick, with no prompting. Adults will see me collapse and be like "meh, he's reyt" hugs love x
@adamfare1996 Tw NHS eugenics...Solidarity from someone who went very quickly from hearing from drs "you're not sick enough" to "we have to triage if the quality of life is worth saving" same (lack of) treatment, same ableism, different packaging, big hugs mate 💜
@adamfare1996 Should probably point out the "done wheelchair users can still walk actually" was said a lot by NHS and social care as a reason why they were talking wheelchair access away and to say it's not ableist to do so. (Just read back and realised it sounded off lol)
@adamfare1996 When I was partially ambulatory “but you don’t need the wheelchair all the time so you can walk” when I was a constant wheelchair user “but most wheelchair users can still walk actually” now I’m bedbound “but disabled means you use a wheelchair“ I can’t win 😂
@adamfare1996 Not sure if it’s micro, but nhs staff saying everything is an emergency/too complicated just because I’m bedbound and have delusions, even when they aren’t a factor, telling me to go to hospital (our a and e isent wheelchair accesable) instead of helping me the ways they can
I've an unrare syndrome that makes me pass out if I reach even 20 degrees,so I know this is eugenics nonsense, that aside,of all the useless bullshit people buy/do that affects the planet, people not wanting to peel their skin off from heat is the unimaginable luxury to ban 1st?🤣
@AmberlynWhite Partners meeting my family is weird, my dad and nan were my best mates as well so thats important to me, a lot of the rest of my family are abusive/controlled by the abusive ones,so I don't want my partner's in with them, but also not to say something and cause us to be a target.
@AmberlynWhite I'm autistic (&extrovert) I usually like meeting them, and often they like me, because I don't understand the social rules around it and just see them as meeting a new person like down the pub, I'm less liked with posh families where there's formality but I don't date posh now lol
@AmberlynWhite So like, same reasons (not seeing the point and importance) different outcome. Just to caveat there's usually a point later on where they saw me melt down/my partner moans to them about me and they pick at my autistic bits even if they like me, which sucks.
@Imani_Barbarin I could understand if it was like, I'm glad they're wearing them bc drs are sizist af and they would get rubbish help if they got covid, but this isn't that at all, boo!
@hannaweeny I also used to do bubbleology and facepainting for festivals, club nights and kids parties/corporate events, again, not for everyone as it's noisy af but I used to be more sensory seeking and found kids more understanding about autistic tempatement than adult public facing jobs
@hannaweeny I'm autistic and used to life model (nude modeling for drawing/painting) for art unis and artists that did workshops, it was very well paid, and before I got POTS I liked basically stretching or having a nap for money. Obvs not fort everyone and I'd be careful who you work with
@Imani_Barbarin NHS net pants and compression socks, ECG watch, wedge, bedladder, (although I'm serving bunt bc cunt gives me dysphoria but somehow being this lose to neked in the internet doesn't? lol)
