What's the price tag on public safety?
Business owners in The Grove paid taxes, hired private security & were still blamed for not spending more on permits after chaos erupted during Pride weekend.
The police said: “The police can’t take responsibility.”

President Bush sent $10.2 billion in relief and 7,200 troops four days after Katrina hit New Orleans. President Obama went to Joplin 7 days after their tornado. I don't think Trump could find St. Louis on a map. #moleg#STLtornado
How do you get a snowstorm in June, #moleg ? Have a company make a vaguely nice tweet about LGBT people and just watch the snowflakes go!!! 🌨️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️
Happy Pride Month! Hoping this month will strengthen our community as we continue to work toward a more just society. Thank you to friends and allies. ❤️🌈🏳️🌈
@Beganovic2025 These roads are so bad its a safety issue. Imagine a tourist or older person with not great eyesight trying to drive it at night. You can't make out the lines. On a rainy night? Forget it.
@Beganovic2025 Completely agree. These pictures are one block from our convention center and plenty of tourists will have their first impressions of downtown St Louis look like a complete wreck. Bad look for our downtown.
@Beganovic2025 Gates were definitely needed. In summer months large groups of teenagers would swarm onto trains and fight. Forest Park, Delmar, fence off those stations. "Surveillance system"? Paying cops overtime to sleep in a control room instead of watching the CCTV? No
@Beganovic2025 @BiStateDev@STLMetro I knew someone who worked for Metro, and thus had free fare. Nevertheless, they still did not take the Blue line to downtown b/c the ride would be half hour and getting in their car they'd be downtown in 10 minutes via hwy, rain or shine.
Mo state Sen Rick Brattin moves an anti-DEI bill and attaches a radical amendment which lets parents object to curricula for, "whatever reason". Flat earthers can prevent teaching that the world is round. Chem trailers veto teaching that its actually water vapor. #moleg 1/x
HB 742 started as a 2 page bill, growing to include vast provisions letting the Mo AG sue schools, letting any extremist parents veto public school curricula. What is on the chopping block? Teaching evolution, heliocentrism, carbon dating, dinosaurs? 2/x
An LGBTQIA+ hotspot said it will no longer carry Anheuser-Busch InBev products, after the brewer dropped its sponsorship of PrideFest. https://t.co/Rr04B8W7YO
After more than 30 years of sponsoring PrideFest, Anheuser-Busch has declined to sponsor this year's St. Louis LGBTQIA+ festival, the organization said. https://t.co/reTkBPwGRT
