Congratulations to Dr Aoife McGarvey as our new secretary after the recent AGM. She is a physiotherapist specialising in head and neck cancer lymphoedema in Newcastle. Our society is a big supporter of the importance of Multi-Disciplinary treatment.

Excellent presentation by Dr Aoife McGarvey. The importance of physiotherapy for head and neck cancer survivors highlighted the gaps in clinical care. Physiotherapy is an important and under recognized part of head and neck cancer patient care

There is a lack of funding and large gap in service provision of prosthesis for head and neck cancer patients in Australia compared to the UK. Thank you to Sophie Fleming for your presentation to highlight this and the benefits of prosthetics
