Maybe if enough people share this photo with @SpeakerJohnson it might move him to allow a floor vote on the #Ukraine aid bill. You can also call his office at (202) 225-4000.
BREAKING: The Lincoln Project just released this devastating ad calling out Donald Trump as an authoritarian. Retweet to ensure all Americans know exactly who Donald Trump is.
@MericasPlumber1@krassenstein Your allies (the GOP) turned down a bill that would have resolved many of the border issues as demanded by those same Republicans. They did it because didn’t want the border secure because he wanted a campaign issue. You are not serious or you would be calling them out!
@KassiesDad All churches should be taxed, especially all property owned by religious organizations. There may be deductions for activities a nd uses that benefit the entire community but simply being labeled a religious organization should not shelter the organization or employees.
I remember July 2017, having just given birth days earlier, as a first-time mom, overwhelmed and breastfeeding, when Trump's attorneys sued me for millions, frivolously claiming I had violated my NDA.
The legal system Trump used to torment women, the poor, those without his resources... now torments him.
God's justice takes time but always arrives.
@mail_american@BillyBaldwin You are so full of hate that you can’t see the truth. You hate that Biden is reversing trump’s actions that brought on inflation, Covid and unemployment. You hate that this administration is accomplishing what Trump promised but never delivered except to the highest income class
Dems should be shouting this from the rooftops-Repubs are running on the border as an issue but they are the ones refusing to fix it. Dems are ready & willing.
I can only hope that the American people wake up to how dangerous Trump is and listen to those who have worked with and for him. They continue to raise the alarm but the people continue to ignore the warnings.
Give me one good reason why these comments from former Attorney General Bill Barr shouldn’t alarm voters in November.
“He's a very petty individual who will always put his interests ahead of the country's… Our country can't be a therapy session for a troubled man like this."
Let me guess, you will just claim that he’s part of the “deep state” or is a RINO just like all of the other Americans who have stood up against Trump and have worked for him.
BREAKING: Pennsylvania's Democratic Governor Josh Shapiro unveils a sweeping and historic overhaul of the state's higher education — cementing his place as one of the party's fasting rising stars.
This is what real governance looks likes...
Shapiro announced the plan today by pointing out that Pennsylvania ranks 48th for affordability and 49th for investments for its universities. For such a powerful, influential state this is unacceptable and Democrats are determined to change it.
"Every Pennsylvanian deserves the freedom to chart their own course and the opportunity to succeed," said Shapiro. "For some, that means going right into the workforce — but for those who want to go to college or get a credential, we need to rethink our system of higher education. Whether you want to take one course to brush up on your skills, earn a certificate to qualify for a promotion, or pursue a degree that will lead to a new career — you deserve accessible, affordable higher education options."
The new four-point plan was meticulously designed over the past year by the Higher Education Working Group, which was specifically created by Shapiro's administration to generate viable solutions.
The first point will bring together 10 of the state's public universities and 15 community colleges under a new governance system to increase efficiency.
The second point will pump more investment into higher education and enable lower and middle income citizens to pay $1,000 or less per semester at state universities and community colleges.
The third point will be to allow universities to received funding based on performance and outcome transparency.
Finally, Shapiro wants funding to flow through the state's Department of Education instead of the Legislature .
While Republicans are busy whining about made up issues and spreading election lies, Democrats are doing the hard work of governance to actually improve this country.

I don't agree with Mitt Romney on mostly anything, but every Republican voter should see this:
Mitt Romney: “I think the border is a very important issue for Donald Trump. And the fact that he would communicate to Republican senators and congresspeople that he doesn't want us to solve the border problem because he wants to blame Biden for it is really appalling."
@PeacefulVegan62@MayoIsSpicyy Remember the debates with Hillary and Trump looming and scowling behind her every time she spoke. Creepy. That must be how it’s been like for E. Jean!
@davidaxelrod@GOP We need to remember who else was a convicted felon who then came back to lead his country: Adolph Hitler! He, too, sought to punish those whom he saw as his enemies, especially the Jews. In this case it is the media, Democrats and immigrants.
@joncoopertweets Only 15% of those registered as Republican showed up to vote. This means Trump recei less than 8% of Republican vote! That is far from a landslide and bodes ill for his chances against Biden!
BREAKING: Special Counsel Jack Smith hits back hard after Donald Trump demands that the Supreme Court refuse to rule on his supposed "presidential immunity," saying that the "public interest" requires a "prompt resolution" because the charges are of "utmost gravity."
As usual, Smith did not mince words...
Trump is currently begging the court NOT to step in and rule on his claim to immunity, because he wants as many delays and hurdles in place ahead of his criminal case. Clearly, Trump is deathly afraid that they'll rule against him.
"The public interest in a prompt resolution of this case favors an immediate, definitive decision by this Court. The charges here are of the utmost gravity," wrote Smith in his new filing to the justices.
Appropriately, Smith compared this case to the Watergate scandal.
"Here, the stakes are at least as high, if not higher: the resolution of the question presented is pivotal to whether the former President himself will stand trial – which is scheduled to begin less than three months in the future," stated Smith.
The Special Counsel went on to state that Trump "stands accused of serious crimes because the grand jury followed the facts and applied the law. The government seeks this Court’s resolution of the immunity claim so that those charges may be promptly resolved, whatever the result."
"Enforcing federal criminal laws that prohibit such conduct is vital to protecting our constitutional processes and democracy itself," he added.
Jack Smith is clearly in the right here. The only people who could possibly take Trump's side on this issue are diehard MAGA extremists. The Supreme Court must heed Smith's request.

@CPresser_2 @JoJoFromJerz@StrictlyChristo Remember when the GOP demanded that everyone have “True ID” in order to verify identity but then Republican-led states kept delaying implementation because they didn’t want it to apply to them because of privacy concerns. GOP doesn’t think voter ID should apply to them either.
Are you familiar with the song “Blackbird” by The Beatles? Most of us are, but few know the REAL meaning behind it…
Paul McCartney was visiting America. He was sitting, resting, when he heard a woman screaming. He looked up to see a Black woman being surrounded by the police. The police had her handcuffed, and were beating her.
He thought the woman had committed a terrible crime, only to find out that "the crime" she committed was to sit in a section reserved for whites.
Paul was shocked. There was no segregation in England. But, here in America, the land of freedom, this is how Blacks were being treated.
McCartney and the Beatles went back home to England, but he would remember what he saw, how he felt, the unfairness of it all.
He also remembered watching television and following the news in America, the race riots and what was happening in Little Rock, Arkansas, what was going on in the Civil Rights movement.
He saw the picture of 15-year-old Elizabeth Eckford attempt to attend classes at Little Rock Central High School as an angry mob followed her, yelling, "Drag her over this tree! Let's take care of that n**ger!'" and “Lynch her! Lynch her!” “No n**ger b*tch is going to get in our school!”
McCartney couldn't believe this was happening in America.
He thought of these women being mistreated, simply because of the color of her skin. He sat down and started writing.
Last year at a concert, he would meet two of the women who inspired him to write one of his most memorable songs, Thelma Mothershed Wair and Elizabeth Eckford, members of the Little Rock Nine (pictured here).
McCartney would tell the audience he was inspired by the courage of these women: "Way back in the Sixties, there was a lot of trouble going on over civil rights, particularly in Little Rock. We would notice this on the news back in England, so it's a really important place for us, because to me, this is where civil rights started. We would see what was going on and sympathize with the people going through those troubles, and it made me want to write a song that, if it ever got back to the people going through those troubles, it might just help them a little bit, and that's this next one."
He explained that when he started writing the song, he had in mind a Black woman, but in England, "girls" were referred to as "birds." And, so the song started:
"Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these broken wings and learn to fly
All your life
You were only waiting
for this moment to arise."
McCartney added that he and the Beatles cared passionately about the Civil Rights movement, "so this was really a song from me to a Black woman, experiencing these problems in the States: ‘Let me encourage you to keep trying, to keep your faith, there is hope.’
"Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these sunken eyes and learn to see
All your life
You were only waiting
for this moment to be free."
