We had a dog named Cricket when I was little. She lived a long, full life before she developed cancer. Our Cricket's life ended with her being humanely euthanized when her quality of life deteriorated.
Couldn't resist dusting off the ol' Twitter account to rub salt in the wounds of my archnemesis. @GovKristiNoem, how does it feel to be the most hated woman in America? So glad the rest of the world is finding out what I've always known about how stupid and cruel you are.
@_eawrb_ @naturegirltalks@andysignore@TeamYouTube (2/2) So it's not that I believe they would never stoop so low as to lodge a copyright complaint against a dying child; I just think that they would realize that, if and when that story got out, they would have to do a lot of expensive damage control to fix their reputation.
@_eawrb_ @naturegirltalks@andysignore@TeamYouTube Possible.
To be clear, I'm no Disney apologist. I'm well aware of the d*ck moves they've gone to to protect their copyrights. When they do the right thing, it's only to protect their profits and their image. And more often than not, they have to be prompted and shamed into it.
@whiteguynumber3 @naturegirltalks@andysignore@TeamYouTube There are alternatives to filing lawsuits: mediation, arbitration, etc. There are ways to protect intellectual property without being a total d*ck about it.
UPDATE: We're in-talks with Kori's folks... We know the issue - Its NOT a mass-flagging by AH Stans - Its a stupid ERROR - We are just waiting for a @TeamYouTube Rep to email the family's account to help correct. Keep RTing until its sorted. Its wrong, but lets not start a war.
@naturegirltalks@andysignore@TeamYouTube I mean, I don't know much about the inner workings of YouTube, but it's not great optics for them either, and if they're getting flak about it, I imagine they'd want to point the finger somewhere else. π€·
@naturegirltalks@andysignore@TeamYouTube It's not outside the realm of possibility, but I think that even Disney would realize that getting a sick child's account terminated over a copyright complaint would be really, REALLY bad optics for what is *supposed* to be a family-friendly company.
All this young man @KrackenTheBox wanted via Make-a-Wish was to earn his 100K Youtube Plaque. Many pulled together to help this terminal heart patient. @TeamYouTube WHY WOULD YOU TERMINATE HIS ACCOUNT????
.@TeamYouTube Please IMMEDIATELY Explain Why Captain Kori's YouTube Channel was terminated for violating Google's Terms of Service?! This terminally ill boy has been through far too much, to lose all this hard work. Remedy this ASAP & Get That Plaque Ready https://t.co/ONoOIq2r2f
I took the liberty of making pie charts of two recent polls about @govkristinoem's COVID response. Her spokesperson, @IanTFury says that there's a "stark difference" between the two. Look at the graphs and tell me what you see. Would you call that a "stark difference"? I wouldn't
It ... really isn't, though. Either way, roughly half approve and roughly half disapprove.
Also, what's the margin or error on both polls? Because that makes a difference.
In the same poll, they found that South Dakotans DISAPPROVED of @kristinoem's handling of the pandemic 52-45.
A poll conducted by @argusleader and @keloland in the same month found that South Dakotans APPROVED of her pandemic response 54-45. That's a pretty stark difference (4/)
@DAbruzzoTweets Thank you for your response. FWIW, I agree 100% that accountability is important. And I appreciate the difficulty of trying to present a cogent argument while observing Twitter character limits, having struggled in that regard myself.
Per Tough Pigs (π), people are now calling for the retirement of Rosita from Sesame Street following the controversy at Sesame Place. @DAbruzzoTweets, do you still maintain that cancel culture and accountability are the same thing?
"Many on the left refuse to acknowledge that cancel culture exists at all [...] Many on the right, for all their braying about cancel culture, have embraced an even more extreme version of censoriousness."

By the way, Stephanie, I have a Master's degree in literature and took a graduate-level seminar called Philosophy of Language that included semantics. Though they are not included on my Twitter profile, the About page on my blog would have shown you my credentials.
