Brooklyn Dodgers pitcher, Ralph Branca, was born 100 years ago today. In 1951, Branca gave up a home run to Bobby Thomson to lose the pennant to the NY Giants in what became known as The Shot Heard Round The World. Branca is buried near Babe Ruth.
