@JonesOnTheNBA I hear you on him never going to get benched but the Spurs need to think long and hard about Fox this offseason. Do they really want him around in the future? Too much potential for rift w/ Harper… especially with Harper ‘s camp.
The Spurs are going to lose this series because Mitch Johnson has never realized who his second-best player is.
Still running the offense through Fox (3/14) down the stretch while Harper (9/15) watches.
The reason why mitch Johnson has to go, is because of his arrogance on coaching worrying about the his players feelings like trash fox and Johnson. Still haven't played Barnes... like I'm #SickofMitch
My 2 cents on the last layup. There is no way any ref can keep up with that play and get in good position to make the call. Fox is too fast.
We can argue whether Fox should have shot it or played for the foul.
But we should also ask whether the official should have known that each team had a challenge left. So by calling a foul, the video review would allow them to get the call right
I’m not blaming the ref for not taking this approach. Sprinting to get a look at the play was hard enough.
But it would have been the right move
The NBA should consider letting the refs ask for a challenge when they can’t get a good look at a play in the last two minutes.
We often are asking them to do the impossible, like trying to sprint as fast as Fox on a breakaway When there is so much at stake, the refs want to get it right as much as everyone else does
Trust the ref to use this only when needed and the game will be better for it
Told ya.
The NBA's Last 2 Minute Report confirms the out of bounds whistle on Stephon Castle was INCORRECT.
In addition, NBA writer @TomerAzarly received confirmation from the league that Josh Hart should have been whistled for a foul on the Castle drive.
Down 105-104 with 1:02 remaining, the Spurs were already in the bonus and the correct call would have given Castle a golden opportunity to take the lead with two massive free throws.
Should the @nba and @OfficialNBARefs review this incident where Karl Anthony Towns asks Knicks fans to crowd Dylan Harper as he attempts to inbound the ball on the final play of Game 5? 👀
NBA rules explicitly state that fans are strictly prohibited from entering the playing area or intentionally interfering with players, whether the player is inbounds or out of bounds. Furthermore, rules state that fans must remain within the physical limits of their own seats.
In an instance like this, Arena security staff is required to back the front row up, and offenders should be ejected. The second video in the tweet below also shows how egregious this violation was.
Meanwhile @BexarCoSheriff in San Antonio announced today that they are beefing up security for Saturday's game given that there will be thousands of Knicks fans for Game 5.

Unreleased footage that shows the Spurs in utter confusion coming out of the timeout before the OG tip in. MUST watch, sound up. Link to full breakdown below 👇🏀
Spurs guard Dylan Harper after a Game 4 collapse: “A whole new fire, I feel like, is ignited in me, in a sense of, we gave that game away. And if we’re going to lose, we’re not going out like that. We're going to put up a fight. We’re going to keep swinging.”
🇺🇸I cannot believe what just happened! Unreal! Extremely tough loss. Now time to lick wounds and try again. No alternatives. 😓
🇦🇷No puedo creer el partido que perdimos! Extremadamente doloroso! Ahora a lamerse las heridas y volver a intentarlo. No queda otra. 😓
Mitch Johnson needs to be investigated, that is one of the worst coached halves & quarters I have seen in all of my years watching sports
