fromis_9's season has returned. True to your nickname "Summer Queen", you announced the beginning of summer with your full album 'Glow ME'. What kind of days have you been having lately?
Lee Chaeyoung: I always feel good whenever I hear the nickname "Summer Queen". (Laughs) We made our comeback with a full album for the first time in 3 years, so we've been busy every day. We've finally gotten to stand on music show stages together again and film various comeback content, so I'm really feeling, "We've finally made our comeback".
Lee Nagyung: Since our fans have waited for us for such a long time, there's so much we want to show them. Today's photoshoot with Marie Claire is one of those things, too. (Laughs) I hope we can show it to our fans as soon as possible
'Glow ME' is your first full album since beginning anew as a 5 member group. I imagine it holds special meaning for both the members and the fans. What kind of mindset did you have while preparing this album?
Lee Chaeyoung: Honestly, I had a lot of worries when we were preparing our previous EP, From Our 20's. I worried about whether the stage would look empty, and there was a lot of pressure because the 5 of us had to fill that stage completely. But seeing our fans continue to love the5 member fromis_9 just as much made me feel much more at ease. So we prepared this album with the mindset that we should enjoy this precious moment without regrets, so that both we and our fans can remember it for a long time.
Lee Nagyung: I think when we genuinely enjoy being on stage, that energy gets conveyed to our fans as well. You can feel it just by listening to the title track, Vitamin ME. Just like the title says, "I'm your vitamin", I hope this song can become a vitamin for everyone
This year marks the 8th anniversary of fromis_9's formation. What has been the biggest source of strength that has kept the group going for all these years?
Lee Nagyung: The members who have always stayed by each other's side. Over the 8 years we've spent together, we've laughed a lot and cried a lot, too. I think we are where we are now because we endured the difficult times together. You could say that the team became truly solid as we climbed over one steep hill after another. If we hadn't had each other, we wouldn't have been able to keep going for 8 years. We put those feelings into this album as well. We wanted to convey the idea that the countless moments in life when we encounter all kinds of emotions, including joy and sadness, ultimately become the strength that makes us shine even brighter +
