Nope. He should not apologize because he did nothing wrong. He did not "screw up." And the people who believe it was a literal Nazi salute—to the extent that they actually believe it—are not going to be pacified by an apology. The only correct response here is mockery.
The media's business model is to get people to engage—and rage bait is a very real thing. Hating on Trump and his cronies was a full time thing the last time around. It cost me my sanity. I say to you now: protect your peace. The media won’t do it for you.

This week, an Arab who I have messaged extensively with in August and September, wrote to me and shared two fascinating things with me:
1. He was in Gaza on October 7th
2. He has now become pro-Israel
He wrote, "I find myself after more reading and searching becoming more pro-Israel, increasingly believing in your story and your right to the existence of your land. My perspective is changing, and I deeply respect and acknowledge your right to be there."
He shared with me that he had never liked Hamas, but he has always sided with the Palestinian Authority and was always against Israel.
I asked him what he saw on October 7th, and he wrote, "I literally saw Palestinians on Israeli military vehicles in the middle of Khan Younis, it was crazy."
He told me he didn't fit in with most people in Gaza because he said they were uncivilized, hostile, and confrontational for no reason.
I asked him if he personally knew anyone who didn't celebrate on October 7th, and he said he did not.
I asked him what he was taught about Israel when he was a child (he was born and lived in the Turkish Republic of Northen Cyprus, and was there until his graduation when he went to live in Gaza), and he wrote, "We were taught to feel hatred and hostility towards Israel; but as I've grown older and interacted with Israelis, I've come to realize that much of what I was taught was a lie."
I asked him what was the tipping point that made him become pro-Israel, and he wrote, "I would start with the consistent Israeli narrative from a historical perspective. The way they consistently tell the story of how Jews were indigenous to the land, how they were exiled, and how they are now returning was one of the key triggering points for me."
I asked him if he ever shared these views with other Arabs, and he wrote, "No, I haven't, because expressing these opinions is often met with extreme reactions."
He gave me permission to share all of this information as long as I don't reveal his identity.
Have you ever experienced a moment where the laws of physics seemed to take a break? A fall that didn’t follow the rules? A skip in reality? A glitch in the space-time continuum? 😳

So, how long is 1 billion seconds? 🤔
I had a freak moment where I instantly calculated the answer, but now I have no idea how I did it. My brain ran the numbers, but when I tried to recreate the math, I just… couldn’t. 🤯
