"What is the point of India spending billions on its image, like raising swanky airports?
Is the idea that someone would land at such an airport, be blown away by it, and then when he is stuck in the hell hole of the Indian city, inhaling poisonous air, he is going to think how fine the airport was?
What is the point of brand-building exercises when anyone who lands here can see within five minutes that things are a mess, we do not know the meaning of planning, and we are a danger to ourselves?"

responsible if not more. I’m a working mother myself & I do not condone shaming. But the argument that the kids must not be full time responsibility of the parents & grandparents a bit of a blind spot.
If free will is for everyone, it extends to the child are facility staff too. In such case, Capgemini can’t be held responsible. But the tenet called upon here is the well working of an institution. Family (parents, grandparents) is an institution and it needs to be held equally+
From the comments it’s clear that the easiest scapegoat after a daycare incident involving mistreatment of children is the "selfish working mother" or the "greedy parents" who supposedly chose careers over their children.
Parents don't put toddlers in daycare because they have better options. And no "leave the child with the grandparents" isn't a universal solution either.
Not every family has grandparents who are alive, healthy, nearby, or willing & able to provide full time childcare. And even when they are, it's perfectly reasonable not to expect ageing grandparents to become unpaid, full time caregivers.
Hold the system, in this case @CapgeminiIndia accountable instead of turning the daycare abuse into a morality lesson for working mothers/parents.
I’d definitely use @Arattai if others use it. I do use its pocket feature often. It’s really not bad at all. But I guess there are only crabs out to get them.
But they all went on about their lives like Sisyphus while losing property, selling inherited jewellery, not needing status games just so that they can leave something behind for their kids. It’s not good enough for the kids because who wants a 90 yr old ailing parent in 2026.
This hit hard because there are some sept- & octogenarians in the family & people around them have misplaced expectations. One was not open to change, one didn’t upgrade himself with time, didn’t go separate ways in business. Another didn’t give up her assets at the right time+
Promoting Veda and Sanskrit as if they are the basis of Hinduism are now shunned by Kannadigas.
Because that's absolute fraud.
Nobody is force-feeding eggs. Children should have a choice.
Satvik nonsense is no longer acceptable for Kannadigas.
If an alien lands in Indian X, they’ll think eggs are a staple in average Indian household. I’d like to clarify to that alien that this is not the case.
This is like saying Jonathan Haidt mansplained child rearing. The mothers knew device addiction had adverse impact but it was such a burden they yielded.
Which Indian author gets this kind of cult treatment? Whatever the language it is, do we have a name? If no, who is our best bet? Kalidasa? The Ashtsdiggajas? Premchand? I am not looking at a single book but an array of works by an author.
Paying rewards and insurance is cheaper than enforcing standards (former will be mired in so much paperwork that the payout will be zilch). Got it! Also great way to portray strength of the ministry by bringing in private company to help.
#WATCH | Delhi: Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari says, "We have launched two schemes. A committee chaired by an AIIMS doctor reported that our country sees 180,000 fatalities and 500,000 accidents annually. 30% of these accident victims could be saved if taken to a hospital immediately, a figure amounting to 50,000 lives. If people step in to rush these 50,000 individuals to the hospital, their lives can be saved; we call such lifesavers 'Rahveers', and we will award the rescuer Rs 25,000. Subsequently, regardless of the road type—be it national, district, or municipal—and the hospital where the victim is admitted, we immediately cover the treatment costs for up to seven days, paying the hospital bill up to a maximum of Rs 1.5 lakh. I believe these schemes address a critical issue, given that our country records the highest number of road accidents globally. If everyone cooperates, we can save countless lives. Today, Rapido has taken the initiative and pledged its support..."
The wife is looking for purpose. Which is fair. That can be found in building the family. There seems to be no close family member to bring this vision to the fore for her. Unfortunately the child will suffer.
A man earns 1.2 crores per annum in Mumbai. His job is high pressure, long hours at a SaaS startup. He has employed a maid & cook at home. He takes care of all utilities, expenses, vacations, investments etc.
His wife also works and makes 13 lakhs a year in an advertising agency. She spends this money on herself, and invests the rest.
They have a daughter after 3 years of marriage. After her maternity leave is over, he asks her to leave her job (this was discussed before marriage), and take care of the kid. But, she takes a U-turn and refuses. He is even ready to give her a credit card for her personal spending, similar to what she did with her salary. She still doesn't agree.
Now, they are forced to leave the kid with a nanny throughout the day. He isn't happy about it. Note that, none of their parents are alive, so the kid can't be left with grandparents.
Now, everyday they are having fights over this. Even though his working hours are longer, she tells him her work is equally important, and that he must equally contribute in parenting (at night). He says he is already contributing as he is bearing all the childcare expenses. She tells him, it's not about the money, it's about the time. He says, if he stays up at night, he can't work during the day. She gives the same logic.
She taunts him if he is so concerned about the kid, why don't he leave his job and look after the kid. He taunts her back that he is okay to do so, but then she must earn the same as he earns. Then, they both get silent.
After a few minutes, the wife starts crying, and says, why can't he understand why my job is so important. He asks her to explain why. She doesn't answer. He asks her back, that he can't understand why her work with so little salary is so important than taking care of their own child. It's illogical.
I end the session and ask them to ponder on their questions and come back next time with answers.
ladies, and gentlemen, what do you think they should do?

@Themangofellow@LICIndiaForever When I was in treasury, we’d get their renewal quotes in text doc! I visited their office once and the employees were all using desktops that was probably last made in the year 2000. Absolutely tragic.
My sincere advise to Indian investors. I gain nothing by saying this.
12 years did nothing for you as investors. Check the returns, adjust it in USD CAGR. The returns are dismal.
You are basically witnessing financial repression.
In this decade: middle class lost its financial ability to send kids abroad, travel abroad.
Give it 1 more decade: you will see serious deterioration in quality of goods we consume.
There is NOTHING you can do. This is happening. And, will keep happening.
The only thing in your control is your decision: on how you invest your available capital. If you are upper middle class, please open a foreign brokerage account. Invest.
You will say: oh you want to sell us your course? oh bhai, don't buy anything, it is fine. Just go and invest in QQQ/S&P 500 whatever you like. Go to better, more transparent markets.
You don't have to do this with your already invested money. Whatever new money you are making, make better calls with it. Only invest in Indian stocks when they go super cheap.
I am saying all this because:-
I don't want hard working fellow folks to get absolutely bankrupt in the name of investing in "hope". You're hardworking you absolutely deserve a much better life.
