We've run this experiment. Muslims killed fewer MENA Jews in all of modern history, despite having the total capacity to kill them for most of modern history, than Israelis killed Muslims since 10/7.

While sadly some Jewish communities were ethnically cleansed by Muslim-majority countries after 1948, most Jews who immigrated to Israel from the Middle East were not ethnically cleansed. They were not ethnically cleansed by Iran, Tunisia, or Morocco, whose Jews constituted the majority of MENA Jewish emigrants to Israel. That most of the population left these countries doesn't prove ethnic cleansing (95% of Jews also emigrated from Cuba post-Castro Revolution, they weren't ethnically cleansed either.)

If you add up all the victims from Muslim attacks on Middle Eastern/North African Jews after 1948, it's much smaller than the number of Palestinian civilians killed trying to return home after 1948. (The latter were systematically massacred, as Benny Morris documents in Israel's Border Wars.)
