during a recent interview, chen xinhai talked about the korean-drama-style aesthetic video produced by he junlin and filmed by xixi.

💬: “what artistic value and emotional value did the short film give you?”

chen xinhai: “emotional value accounted for 70%.”

when asked if he junlin and xixi spent the shoot hyping him up and complimenting him, xinhai laughed and replied: “more or less.”

turns out the secret behind the korean-drama atmosphere wasn’t just the camera work, but also he junlin and xu ruohan constantly hyping xinhai up and giving him confidence throughout filming.

turns out xixi and ziqi’s interactions are actually so cute and awkward in the cutest way possible. i didn’t expect these two classmates to be this entertaining together 🥹

this was xixi drawing a sketch caricature of wang ziqi. from the very beginning, both geges (peng ge and wang ge) were completely focused on watching xixi draw. but ziqi was especially curious about how she was drawing him.

so while xixi was trying to look at his expression for reference, ziqi was busy staring at the drawing instead.

🐰: “what are you doing?”
ziqi awkwardly laughed and replied:

xixi was trying to study ziqi’s face, while ziqi was busy studying xixi’s drawing. these bfa classmates are actually too cute.
