One reason some people avoid Islam is because of the discipline it demands.

You have to show up for Salāh 5x daily
You can’t commit zina
You can’t intoxicate yourself
You’re expected to maintain good character
You can’t simply live however you want

There are principles governing your desires, your body, your money, your relationships and your conduct.

Islam constantly asks you to restrain yourself from things your nafs may enjoy and push yourself toward things that may feel difficult.

It’s a life of discipline!

But Islam was never meant to make you a slave to your desires. It only teaches you to master and control them!

And sometimes, the hardest path is the one that frees you.
