Could you point out the negative in what we have posted? Do you not think there are issues that affect local people’s day to day life that need to be addressed in any public project? large scale protests in the town could have been avoided if these were addressed??

@BealachanDoirin Where will the proposed parking be? Drawing looks lovely of course but every rural town needs to be practical or else business will suffer. Those trees look lovely but they take a long time to grow?? What are the feeling of the new low shrubbery areas all around the town?

@shannonsidenews our village’s ability to survive. Mr.Tiernan is correct, our towns need investment but what’s proposed for Frenchpark is not even in the top 10 of arras that need investment in our village. This will amount to a huge waste of €5M when there are serious issues that need attention

Huge opposition yesterday at the unveiling of @roscommoncoco proposed plans for Frenchpark village. One way systems, cycle lanes and 50% reduction in already scarce parking.

A @BealachanDoirin style protest to come?

These corner pieces in our village, layed in concrete just a short time ago, which served no purpose at all and an eyesore, now being dug up to make way for traffic lights, which will be dug up and removed in 2 years time when the new bypass opens🤷‍♂️

@shannonsidenews Very sad. May he RIP. it’s only a matter of time before we have something similar here in Frenchpark. The speed at which traffic comes through our little village is frightening. It’s surly time for some form of traffic calming before we have a similar incident @roscommoncoco
