philips hue rolling out a surprise update forcing anyone with a hue light to sign up for another account and give another website their personal info in order to continue using their “25 year” lightbulbs. now you need an account to be able to control the lights in your home.

@jojorsetsuna @tweethue i agree. but i don’t feel too bad for the CM since they’re just arguing and attacking concerned customers in their replies. 🙄 really disappointing to see from Hue. i am going to share this info with my parents as well; they have like 20 Hue lights and hate extra sign-in’s.
