@YorchTorchGames I think obsidian are at their best with lower budget games, pentiment is a good example of this, outer worlds 2 and avowed on the other hand are watered down version of what they are known for.
@eurogamer Doublefine is ironically what you get when a company works regular hours and have too much creative freedom, since psychonauts 2 they only released glorified gamjam games and now they are asking 100mill for brutal legends 2 sorry Tim the greedy one is you.
@soulince4442@BoldfaceJames It’s really not confusing like AT ALL unless you want hallways for level design which seems to be the case for most gamers apparently, many quests are build ups and some of the best reveals and endings happen in that chapter.
@soulince4442@BoldfaceJames Third chapter is the best part of the game, the city is one of the best and most interactive content filled in any rpg and it’s not even close.
@wesleytypes Gamers will never learn how to NOT overhype themselves and how it always gets in the way of enjoying good games. Nowadays everything has to either be a 10/10 masterpiece all time great or it’s a straight up disappointing garbage.
@impo_sigmaWalk@Pirat_Nation I didn’t really say that I said interactivity with virtual worlds is main feature of gaming as a medium more than fun, fun is subjective many people find games that are literally designed around fun like Nintendo games boring while they find immersive games like rdr2 and kcd2 fun
@CptAncapistan@IGN@grok they are actually talented but doublefine is what happens when you ironically give total freedom and normal working hours they have the capability to create masterpieces like Psychonauts 2 but they also don’t have a specific formula, just small games then move on to the next.
@IGN Psychonauts 2 was a masterpiece but what did they do since then? Just small random ass games that are mediocre at best Tim is very talented but him and his company only want to create glorified gamjam games instead of creating something that is genuinely ambitious.
@BonafideXP@GungHo_America honestly? It’s quite a let down for me and a bit overhyped, it starts out very strong after the fantastic ending but devolves into a villain of the week format, where you revisit the exact same towns, first game had a reason for this “slow” pacing, this game does not.
