Why are ethical questions always like, ‘Is it ethical to steal bread to feed your starving family?’ and not, ‘Is it ethical to hoard bread while families are starving?
@AdamPage85 Hey there, Episcopal Priest here. Priests have no authority to shorten the lectionary's assigned readings. (We do have the authority to lengthen them, though.) Jn 14: 1-6 is one of the options for funerals, and I've used it dozens of times.
All I know is it’s very normal, when you offer a prayer, to have to clarify “this is not a golden calf.” Very normal. I’ve had to say it dozens of times.
Today at Trump National Doral Miami, we witnessed an unforgettable moment with the dedication of the 22-foot statue honoring President Donald J. Trump.
Let me be clear: this is not a golden calf. We worship the Lord Jesus Christ and Him alone.
This statue is a celebration of life. It is a symbol of resilience, freedom, patriotism, strength, and the will power to keep fighting for the future of America.
It also stands as a reminder of the hand of God and His protection over President Trump’s life. Time and time again, when his life was threatened, God’s mercy prevailed.
Today was not just a ribbon cutting. It was the public display of a powerful movement that has spread across America and around the world.
I was deeply honored to serve as President Trump’s main point of contact throughout this process, and I do not take that assignment lightly.
I want to personally thank Ash, Dustin Stockton, Brock Pierce, Hershey Friedman, Yaakov Filitchkin, Sam, Jack, and the 6,000+ Patriots who donated, believed, sacrificed, and made this historic moment possible.
Thank you to the entire Trump Doral team for your incredible hospitality and excellence.
And thank you, President Donald J. Trump, for calling me today and speaking to the crowd. We are forever grateful.
God bless President Trump.
God bless every Patriot.
And God bless the United States of America. 🇺🇸

@AdamPage85 Honestly, I'm not on this platform much anymore. I check in every once in a while. I find it mostly unusable for the things I use to enjoy about it!
Rachelle and the kids are good, and, yes, they're growing fast. My son is driving!
@AdamPage85 Yes, and I'm saying his social media usage does nothing (except damage the credibility of his threats and get us back to where we were before the war). I'm not sure how Rs are surging past Ds, in all of the special elections so far, there's been like 15-point Dem swing.

@Maida904 The three stars is a huge thing in TN--it's seriously everywhere. I'm (obviously) no Titans fan, but I think I'd like the change if I was. Maybe they could've added the stars and kept the flames?
I'm kind-of obsessed with CS Lewis's final Narnia book, The Last Battle, as a picture of right-wing evangelicalism right now. a donkey is dressed up in the skin of a lion—by an ape who wants power—to convince people that he's Aslan. it's a poor disguise, but the masses buy it.
@AdamPage85 Both of my kids speak Spanish fluently, so we’ve listened to Bad Bunny a lot. Also, the story being told didn’t exactly need a ton of translation. I speak a decent amount of Spanish, and I thought it was a great set design, good vibe, and fun.
@AdamPage85 I mean, yeah, it’s almost as funny as a bunch of boomers sitting around nodding to “Bawitdaba,” pretending to like it to own the libs.
I don’t know, maybe doing things because of culture wars just makes for crappy art?
Okay so,
1) an American citizen exercises his First Amendment right to peaceably assemble and his Second Amendment right to bear arms, out of apparent concern that a tyrannical federal government is violating basic protections afforded under the Constitution
2) after coming to the aid of an unarmed woman who's been shoved to the ground by a masked federal agent, the citizen -- impaired by pepper spray, holding nothing but a cell phone -- is dragged to the ground by a group of other masked agents
3) during the scuffle, shortly after one masked agent removes the weapon from the restrained citizen's person, several other masked agents open fire, unloading 10 shots from close range and killing the unarmed citizen
4) despite video evidence, a spokesman for the federal government says the citizen approached agents with a gun, provoked a violent confrontation, and planned to "massacre" law enforcement
You really want to defend this? Go ahead. Just know, you look like an absolute fool.
