I really loved him as Joseph Ratzinger and I really loved him as #PopeBenedictXVI. His writings (pre and during his papacy) were one of the great influences on my decision to give my life to Christ as his disciple and his priest. He was a mountain of a man. May he rest in peace.

And out unchangeable maleness or femaleness is a good we need to embrace. The heavy cross of gender dysphoria requires true accompaniment and understanding that remains firmly rooted in the truth that one’s sexuality is a good that needed to be recognized.
