In early 2011, Fr. Mike Byrnes agreed to preach my first Mass. A few weeks later he was named a Bishop. Eventually, he was missioned as Archbishop in Guam. I admired his love for Jesus Christ and his fearlessly leadership. Enter into the Father’s house, Abp. Byrnes.
Peace be with you all! This is the first greeting spoken by the Risen Christ, the Good Shepherd. I would like this greeting of peace to resound in your hearts, in your families, and among all people, wherever they may be, in every nation and throughout the world.
Rest in peace, Francis.
This was the best photo I saw of Pope Francis. His great love for the poor, forgotten, and the outcast was a beautiful testament against the "throwaway culture" that permeates the world.
Following up on @DetArchbishop's EXCELLENT pastoral letter on the dangers of gender ideology our response in love and truth, I was asked to write a piece for the Detroit Catholic. Give it a read here: https://t.co/jYPzfx01Tc

I really loved him as Joseph Ratzinger and I really loved him as #PopeBenedictXVI. His writings (pre and during his papacy) were one of the great influences on my decision to give my life to Christ as his disciple and his priest. He was a mountain of a man. May he rest in peace.
It is a sad sad day in Michigan. We voted to enshrine unrestricted abortion access into our constitution. We have much more work to do to build a culture of life.

Thank you for living out faithful citizenship, and remember to pray!
And out unchangeable maleness or femaleness is a good we need to embrace. The heavy cross of gender dysphoria requires true accompaniment and understanding that remains firmly rooted in the truth that one’s sexuality is a good that needed to be recognized.
Whether you are a man or a woman is not a decision you make. It is an objective scientific biological reality. Freedom comes, not from conforming what is objective to my subjective, but conforming my subjective to what is objective.
The young adult checking Pope Francis in at #WYD: Um; I don't see you on the list of registrants, Holy Father. Perhaps you used a different name? Did you get a confirmation number? Um ok, let me see what we can do about this...
I have registered for World Youth Day, which will take place in Lisbon in August 2023
