ST obgyn
Many people think that baby blues and postpartum depression (PPD) is the same thing. That is not correct. PPD is more severe and can continue not only weeks but months or even over a year. That is why we need to identify women with high risk of PPD and treat them early! #ISRVT22
The BASIC study is a population based prospective study with the focus to follow women’s health during and after pregnancy. Over 4500 women have been recruited and the data have already resulted in many exciting studies. Read more at https://t.co/O0ylRKROGh ! #ISRVT22
Trying to find out what investigations women with depressive symptoms have gotten the first months after delivery. Going slowly but progressing! #ISRVT22
Did you know that 10-20 % of all new mothers suffer from postpartum depression? About 30 % of these are still having depressive symptoms by 12 months after delivery. I am a PhD-student at Uppsala university and my research work is about long term postpartum depression. #ISRVT22
Home ”alone” with my family of five celebrating the start of 2022. Almost finished BEEs and longing for season 6 of the best show ever. Happy new year!
