@Starlink raising prices when the residential max speeds keep getting slower and slower is not a good look. Perfectly sunny day, zero obstructions anywhere nearby, getting super slow speeds and everything buffering is not what my first month looked like but now this is the norm.
@Jones1 + cool weather so the AC wasn’t running full blast… it was perfect day to charge up my Tesla on Charge on Solar. Almost got to full just on the excess.
The amount of people saying this isn’t a problem is astounding. F that, I wouldn’t have gotten out. Not in some random complex I don’t know… that’s not what you paid for, and if Robotaxi wants to be taken seriously, it needs to be accurate with drop-offs… these same people I guess would be okay if Amazon just dropped their shit off 1/4 a mile away from their home based on their statements. 🤷
Failed Robotaxi ride in 91° heat.
I LOVE Tesla @Robotaxi and tonight is date night and I was SO EXCITED to take my Wife on an Unsupervised Robotaxi ride for drinks and dinner in Austin.
I hailed the ride after “High Service Demand” cleared after ~15mins of trying.
A red Model Y shows up with zero Robotaxi markings on it and a guy driving in the front seat.
I was immediately let down but we had already waited so long and we needed to reach out destination so we got in.
His hands were on the wheel the whole time and it felt like it was last year when the program was just starting.
The Supervisor was nice but the ride went sideways.
We tried to go to Zanzibar in Austin but the car drove right by the entrance and took us ~a 1/4 mile way out of the way to a residential apartment building. We asked the supervisor what was going on and he called Support and told us to press the support button. Support came on the line and said there was nothing they could do. We had to walk in the 91° heat.
We were dressed in nice clothes and shoes not made for walking. My Wife was NOT impressed. I was embarrassed as I had talked up the service so much.
On our walk to our destination, we witnessed a Waymo dropping off a rider in the place that we should have been dropped off.
Additionally, when we arrived at our destination, hot and sweaty, we saw that there was plenty of room to drop us off.
Very frustrating.
The best part is, we paid for this experience.
Idk if it was about race or nah but I wouldn’t move tables to accommodate another party in the middle of my meal either. You can ask but demanding customers move during their meal is insane and explains why the business is bankrupt… hopefully El Tiempo removes their franchise agreement.
FYI: A 3.9 magnitude earthquake occurred near Cooter, Missouri, around 12:59 PM CDT. Light shaking was reported in Carlisle County, KY. If you felt shaking from this earthquake, report it to the USGS here: https://t.co/HTf9ssO3Nw
It’s so funny watching in comments how mad people get. I forget that straight men are so fragile and sensitive. Every year they update the pride faces, and every year the straight men get so angry it’s hilarious. 😂 little fucking pansies… real men on the other hand don’t give a fuck and just use a face that works for them. This American era is weird…
@MissJilianne Being from Houston I don’t see anything the truck did wrong, that’s normal Htown… two cars could have got in front of the Robotaxi easily lol there’s a reason they only operate far far from the city right now. 😂
The only thing that fixed this for me was using a plus code from Google Maps as my home instead of address. I got the plus code for my exact side of my garage and now instead of going to a random house it goes straight to my house and into the garage.
Try clearing out your home address and replacing it with a Plus Code. Dropping a pin in Tesla didn’t fix it for me but this did and it’s solid.
I agree, it's hard for me to watch Apple screw up something like AI so badly. Yet they are the only company that treats privacy as a core product principle. That’s exactly why I chose HomeKit Secure Video. I block internet access for my cameras, and the system still works because analysis happens locally on the home hub, and recordings are end-to-end encrypted.
I may not get the flashiest AI features first, but that trade-off is worth it to me. Apple is often late to the party, but I am curious to see if their on-device AI push pays off long term. This Gemini deal is interesting to say the least on how they pull this all off.
