My Generation Is Blind to the Prosperity Around Us!
I'm sitting in a small coffee shop near Nokomis (Florida) trying to think of what to write about. I scroll through my newsfeed on my phone looking at the latest headlines of presidential candidates calling for policies to "fix" the so-called injustices of capitalism. I put my phone down and continue to look around.
I see people talking freely, working on their MacBook's, ordering food they get in an instant, seeing cars go by outside, and it dawned on me. We live in the most privileged time in the most prosperous nation and we've become completely blind to it.
Vehicles, food, technology, freedom to associate with whom we choose. These things are so ingrained in our American way of life we don't give them a second thought.
We are so well off here in the United States that our poverty line begins 31 times above the global average. Thirty One Times!!!
Virtually no one in the United States is considered poor by global standards. Yet, in a time where we can order a product off Amazon with one click and have it at our doorstep the next day, we are unappreciative, unsatisfied, and ungrateful. ??
Our unappreciation is evident as the popularity of socialist policies among my generation continues to grow. Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez recently said to Newsweek talking about the millennial generation, "An entire generation, which is now becoming one of the largest electorates in America, came of age and never saw American prosperity."
Never saw American prosperity! Let that sink in.
When I first read that statement, I thought to myself, that was quite literally the most entitled and factually illiterate thing I've ever heard in my 26 years on this earth. Many young people agree with her, which is entirely misguided.
My generation is being indoctrinated by a mainstream narrative to actually believe we have never seen prosperity. I know this first hand, I went to college, let's just say I didn't have the popular opinion, but I digress.
Why then, with all of the overwhelming evidence around us, evidence that I can even see sitting at a coffee shop, do we not view this as prosperity? We have people who are dying to get into our country.
People around the world destitute and truly impoverished. Yet, we have a young generation convinced they've never seen prosperity, and as a result, we elect some politicians who are dead set on taking steps towards abolishing capitalism.
Why? The answer is this,?? my generation has only seen prosperity. We have no contrast. We didn't live in the great depression, or live through two world wars, the Korean War, The Vietnam War or we didn't see the rise and fall of socialism and communism.
We don't know what it's like to live without the internet, without cars, without smartphones. We don't have a lack of prosperity problem. We have an entitlement problem, an ungratefulness problem, and it's spreading like a plague."
Hey @Tim_Walz and @IlhanMN one of the biggest fraud bust in Minnesota history took place this week and you guys said nothing
Shouldn’t you guys celebrate when fraud is exposed in your state and district?
Or are you upset because it was exposed? Silence speaks volumes.
Big news: Today, we’re starting to roll out end-to-end encryption for RCS messaging between Android and iPhone users! This cross-industry effort replaces outdated SMS with a more secure & private way to chat, no matter what phone you have.🔒
Thank you to the community for continuing to push for these kinds of features. Your engagement really helps make a difference. Congratulations to the team for reaching this amazing milestone! 🚀

Whoever Spencer Pratt has putting together his commercials, every Republican running for office in the midterms needs to hire them today!
Here's another banger!👏
Let's go!!! Rooting for @HarmeetKDhillon and team to free our 2A rights. Please do nationwide concealed carry or concealed carry reciprocity next.

Restoring and preserving 2A rights is one of the President’s top priorities. The Supreme Court has doubled down on rulings protecting this right. @TheJusticeDept and the 2A Section at @CivilRights will enforce the law of the land for ALL Americans.
@elonmusk This is fantastic... @elonmusk it would be great if you also developed the model 2.
Discounted supercharging at just a little higher than home electric rates for a model 2 it would really incentivize use among the apartment crowd.
Hey @FedEx why do your drivers put packages on the driveway which is open to the elements when there is a covered porch just 30 feet away.
Not happy that my brand new rugs are both in the eye of potential thieves and open to get rained on.

2004 was a good year, but your Gmail address doesn't need to be stuck in it.
To say goodbye to [email protected] or [email protected] (or whatever you were into at the time), go to your Google Account settings and choose any name available. You'll keep your old username and you can sign in with both.

I introduced the Shutdown Prevention Act in 2011 and reintroduced it every Congress. It would continue funding agencies at 94% of the previous year's levels for 90 days, then cut 1% every quarter until a deal is made. It’s a simple way to make sure folks get paid while applying pressure on Congress to negotiate.
Today, only 65 of us voted to release names of congressmen who have used the sexual harassment slush fund to pay off claims against them. 357 members voted to “refer it to committee” knowing that resolution ain’t ever making it out of committee. Roll call:

🖥Super excited to see Desktop mode finally launch!
With the release of Android 16 QPR3 today, connected display support has reached general availability.
This means you don't need to flip a Developer option to enable it - just connect a compatible Android device to an external display via USB-C, and you'll get a desktop-like multitasking experience!
It's one of many new awesome features in the latest Android release, but it's one I've been looking forward to a ton. Can't wait to see its evolution!
