It’s incredible how resistant some of us can be to discovering uncomfortable truths. As the saying goes, it’s often easier to fool people than convince them they’ve been fooled.
Many would rather continue believing a comforting lie than face the humbling reality that they might have been wrong.
And pride and ego can creep up on any of us. I often have to stop and ask myself wait, could I be wrong here? Sometimes I am. And sometimes I’m not.
If we place blind faith in authority, accept what we’ve been taught without question, or echo what we hear online while attacking others emotionally instead of staying curious and seeking the truth, we end up suffering from a lack of knowledge. And that’s a bad bad vibe.
