Flipped learning can better meet needs of students. Something is lost when there are questions on homework but have to wait to ask and get a response. Flipping the classroom enable students to immediately get the help that they need with the homework! #pennlit15 #flippedlearning

@RMyers0613 #PennLit15 One way that I get around this is making sure that they know I can see exactly what they contribute. If you call out a couple of students but pulling up their presentation, word gets around fast. Not that you should have to do this, but it does work.

#PennLit15 I agree with this. I often use it for collaborative projects and students no longer have the ability to say that they cannot work at any given moment.

#PennLit15 I agree with the ideas the tech can be a great tool for students to creatively demonstrate their knowledge. I also agree with the idea that whole tech can be awesome, using it just for the sake of using it is not beneficial for anyone.

@jmcusano #Pennlit15 think just involvement in class and how they are participating. Conversation is one of the keys that I look for. They are also contributing to the task at hand.

I think for me effective engagement is that students are personally interacting with the material. Can take many forms, but being personally connected to content is key #PennLit15
